The guide lists %Physical as Extra Fire Damage if you've crit recently as a stat to look for... but this won't actually ever be triggered for this build, right?

The totems are critting, not the player, so it actually provides no value.

See my previous post a page back. The player can still crit but can't deal dmg. So with a Orb of Storms setup you can crit and also trigger the jewel modifier, which in turn provides a dps boost to the totems.

bad idea as it negates the boots enchant
abyss jewels in normal jewel sockets (tree) are weak in this build anyway
and for stygian wise socket, best combo is crit multi + life + penetration

True, but it's possible at least. Boot enchant is better indeed

439k damage ;=)
I'm only at 36k on my gear... can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
please?

your craft is completely trash, literally ANYTHING is better man!
u crafted "critical strike chance for attacks" on a spellcaster dagger for a spell totem build, why?!

anyway, its a suffix -> the right craft is attack speed (for our whirling blades movement)
but even a resistance would be usable as it opens more room for an upgrade of other items
or mana regen would also do something good as we all are running MoM

please reconsider your opinion, hope u can learn and not only mindlessly deny!

ok it seems I was wrong, I did a little research, and local critical chance mods do not affect spells (they affect base weapon critical chance), although global critical chance affects both spells and attacks. And this mod does not say it's for attacks only, that's why it's confusing

It's almost same as I have (40k), I'll take a look after work. What's the char name?

Edit:
Didn't have time last night but it seems your weapons miss Inc crit chance for spells as mod and your boots don't have crit enchant yet. Those two will add good dmg.
You also don't have helm enchant and are thus using Long Winter jewel, but only 1. This means not all of your phys is converted, this is a loss of dmg because it doesn't get scaled with your cold modifiers and cold pen. I suggest using 2x Long Winter until you get helm enchant. With 2x helm enchant I also dont feel the need for Inc AoE because the jewels give two extra bursts which already extends your range, so you could swap it for another support like Inc crit multi for example.
you could easily get over 50k with that setup (unbuffed).

Edit2:
Also keep in mind that your cold pen does not show up in tooltip, so you are actually doing more dmg than is indicated in tooltip.
For even more dmg you also need to lvl cold pen en Hatred further and put quality on your gems.

You are on the right track otherwise!

Lots of great conversation on this build. A lot of the typical "help me with my gear" questions. There is an in depth gear section that goes into gear options and stat priorities if you are looking for upgrades. If you are starting to min max you may want to look into a program called Path of Building that will literally import your character and let you know how a piece of gear will effect your build.

Hello,

I was trying out your build but decided to go non-crit with Elemental Overload.

If you could please let me know your thoughts on my tree.

Also, can you let me know what your DPS is in your HO? with no charges... Just Hatred if you are running it?
I don't recommend going EO. My DPS in hideout when I killed Uber Elder was 44k

The totems are critting, not the player, so it actually provides no value.
This would be if you were using OOS with curse on hit. This was better when Power Charge Generation was harder.

I am confused...
You say flasking is better but the PoB shows no alternate setup without kikazaru...

Also you say the threshold jewel is not really worth it but it's in your pob setup.

What is now right, what is wrong ?
I have played the build many times in many different ways. I prefer flasking away curses but have done tons of different varieties for the sake of showing that multiple build types are viable. If you are looking for a RIGHT or WRONG answer I challenge you to try both and figure out which works best for you.

How are totems in Delves 200-450 ? I am terribly bored of my build and want to reroll but I can't make up my mind on what. I'm sort of afraid totems aren't good for delves due to the constant escorting/running into darkness/monsters coming from everywhere around. I was expecting to see a ton of totem builds in late delves but there's very very few of them per the ladder.
I got to Delve 290 without much effort before switching on to my Ele Hit character. Not sure how deep this build is possible of going. Would be interested to hear how many people got how deep with this build!

At 381 and not having any issues atm
Awesome!

Apart from the mana flask, how to sustain mana with Mind over Matter + Divine Guidance? I have 1.1k unreserved mana (I'm using Essence Worm + Hatred), but I'd like to have better mana sustain, feels a little bit painful.

Also, I'm too slow using Kaom's Roots (and Whirling blades is not too fast too). I could use some help on how to be faster with this build.

1.1k Mana seems to be quite low if you ask me, especially when Hatred is not reserving any mana.

I just hit level 90 with this build and I am using a Bubbling Eternal Mana Flask to compensate the occasionally low mana situations due to MoM and DG. Although I have to admit that those situations are quite rare if you play it safe and my mana sits at somewhat 2.6k right now. So I guess you should aim for more mana.
By the way I am not using Hatred at all because I do not feel the need for it with my setup.

Using Kaom's Roots and WB instead of High Movement Speed (Played Arc Totems with Devoto's before that) takes some time to get used to it. Once you are able to manage this properly you won't miss the 30% movement speed on your boots anymore. To be honest, I like the fact that you do not get frozen/rooted and barely get slowed over having movements speed after getting used to it :)
