Well, I just 'path of building' myself an elemental hit build and it does 100 million DPS vs shaper. Why the fuck have they not nerfed the shit out of that yet?

If the skill gems and points are still the same then you need to double check the character level and configuration settings. Add at least 9 poisons to work with vile toxins, make sure the enemy is bleeding and maimed and that your flasks are all active.

Also make sure you're looking at the poison dps. The total dps vs shaper inc. poison should be around 700k for the first second worth of stacks. No. poison dps: 23628.0

And the total dps incl. poison represents your dps with max poison stacks on your target. So this is the max dps you can deal which is 640k.

On the bright side regarding the next Expansion's delay... the extension of Legacy League means I actually have had enough time to attempt more Challenges. Legacy is the only league in my hideout that has more that two or three totem sections. ;)

I'll have to redo the math but i suppose we cut that to 1/4 value to account for the dps being 23k instead of the 100k i took from it. So about 600k dps in poison, just like it says... lol k i'm gona stop for now. at least its still able to stack up to like 5 seconds on top of eachother for that sick, sick ramp up poison dps lol.

just pull the new gems, take them out of the game. if you, GGG.. cannot find a better rational and more logical way to balance.. rather than "all the way on" or "all the way off", mentality. it's better to just axe them altogether.

the last thing needed, in the skills area, are more borderline or useless skills, that never get used, and stagnate, until future patch forever later, because you can't seem to find a way to understand a medium ground, that strikes a balance between power beginning, middle and end game.

it's somewhat embarrassing, to see that with all of GGG's experience and success with timelines and project goals, that something that should have been rather simplistic in comparison, ie: SUPPORT skills tuning, has turned into a bigger problem than it needs to be.

let me spell it out.. your nerfs with the new support gems, are TO HEAVY! ramp them down slowly and find a nice fit. allow enough time for testers to dial in and feedback the balance for you. LISTEN TO YOUR STREAMERS AND TUBERS that have the time OR game experience, to conclude and even predict in feedback the endgame of the skill. you do this all the time! introduce to strong, nerf overboard, dial it up over 2, 3 even 4 patches later, all the while many skills sit there not being played, as they are useless. some skills you nerf, only to, over many patches, bring them right back to where they were before being nerfed. spectral throw. skills like ice crash took YEARS of inactivity, to recognize how borked it was due to mechanics and need for buffs, showing that this goes both ways. not even going to comment on EQ or BV, and being all over the place with that balance and mechanic.

you introduced way to many support gems at once, and are not giving them the time they deserve during the beta, before whacking at them with the bat. you need an "endgame" team of trusted player testers to inhouse tune these skills ahead of release and tune them for you. because GGG.. you cant

you are spreading yourself to thin and it shows.
