Why?

GGG is not in the US so this ruling shouldn't affect them directly. Furthermore, if they take the easy route we suggested with a payment service provider, it doesn't affect them since they're never in possession of bitcoins.

As far as Bitcoin's future is concerned, either this ruling will be overturned, or we'll learn how to work with it. Bitcoin's vision is too big to let some technical ruling stop it.

It affects any American bitcoin-user, as well as all other countries that have similar rules. Also need to keep in mind the countries that are currently investigating how to tax bitcoin users.

Also you'll need to learn New Zeeland legislation as well as the upcoming potential legislation.

All the judicial annoyance may very well not be worth whatever little gain GGG implementing bitcoin payment methods may yield.

Edit: also GGG may very well decide to not support bitcoin because they fear that many of the users are leaving fraudulent tax reports and GGG may not be willing to support such activity.

Accepting bitcoins would make it easier for me to make purchases. I haven't bothered getting a debit or credit account, nor do I plan to.

I'm not boycotting you guys because you won't accept bitcoins, I'm just not going out of my way to get a debit card for microtransactions, you know?

Luckily for myself and GGG, Paypal will soon transact bitcoins, so this thread may be moot, assuming their fees and restrictions are reasonable.

Bit coin is such a scam anyways, like its unregulated and its basically farming money and not working for it. Its creating money where none exists. It should be made illegal and it might well be.

This may be of interest:

Now pay your taxes on the bitcoins you got.
