Here's something you can never lose, but only gain: Psychology of Exile
Actually most of your information has been invalidated; yet you continue to believe otherwise. If you wish to continue spewing your "ideas" all over the forums as facts, it would help to have evidence don't you think? I mean you can't just make blanket statements and expect us who have already tread those waters to believe you have any clue as to what you are talking about.
So yea, if you want to spew your information as facts, then prove it. Otherwise, deal with the fact that us who play the game can call you on your BS because we know better. You are like one of those snake oil salesman, spewing your garbage and selling your snake oil to unsuspecting people who don't realize you are full of crap, till a real doctor shows up and puts you in your place and sends you to the next town. |

"You only need to play Normal difficulty to be able to do this, and doesn't require in-depth knowledge of the game's mechanics and metagame to do so. |

" That is all he plays. Which is fine, except he routinely tells everyone else they are wrong in their end-game/meta-game assumptions. Not only does he tell them how stupid they are, he is usually doing it in a condescending, pompous, dooshy way. Seriously, go poestats him. NO characters come up, because he barely plays the game. He probably doesnt even have cruel experience, much less knows what works in merci and maps. I have offered to walk with him while he "tests" what we have already tested, but he wont because he barely even plays the game, much less put his theorycrafting on display. He just sits around on the forums all day talking down to people with big words when they bring up legitimate issues with the game, like the over-reliance on defense, esp. HP nodes. Both of you seem to forget one important detail: I base my information off of other people's information that have been to Merciless difficulty. I have friends, I ask them questions, I look for patterns in people's playstyles, I pay attention to their builds, their mindset, their gear, et cetera.
You keep twisting my position to force your opinion into the spotlight, but you never learn that speaking for someone elses argument is no longer an acceptable argument. You're wrong about my position, thus you're wrong about mostly anything you respond to me with. I don't play HC, I do play the game. I'm in Act 2 Cruel, and I know Merciless isn't going to be easy, either. Instead I watch other people play, I'm an observer. I've always been an observer. A lot of the things I say are agreed upon, people enjoy my information, I state it critically and with meaning, and I don't go around making people sound inexistent just because they don't try hard in a game that isn't even that difficult when you put some thought into it in the first place. That's it. You will never see a man faking anger, passion and relentless behavior.
You will always see a man faking love, politeness and respectful behavior. |

I thought your first post was great and interesting.
Everything after that though... yeah, just sounds like flowery, philosophical, and annoying preaching that has little to nothing to do with actual psychology or Path of Exile. Ie: What is killing? This is general discussion, it's supposed to be about a video game, not philosophy or... whatever the hell the rest of that was. Last edited by MrRaide#7230 on Feb 21, 2013, 1:15:07 PM

" A good read, but this one in particular annoyed me. The psychology of the game is totally AGAINST investigating, exploring or fixing mistakes for the simple, horrible reason: because you cannot fully respec! This is very unfriendly on the player who wants to be pro-active, recognize and understand his mistakes. It also stifles creativity in general, reduces build variety and inevitably results in 2 or 3 "best builds" being able to prevail for a long time. This in turn is very bad for the long term health of the game and leads to stagnation and apathy. Use all the psychology you like but this is a very bad design. Did you know level 91 is the halfway point to level 100? This means that a softcore character dying ONCE at level 85+ can lose many days of progress.

"Which is a lot of why you are so annoying, you elevate yourself above everyone on this forum and whenever somebody agrees with your post or says something similar to what you've been saying, you use it to further boost your ego and elevate yourself. You haven't earned any credibility except for being an expert level troll. Learning about what other people do is one thing, I do it myself, but it's another to actually play the game and realize WHY they do the things they do, why they choose the options. Also, how can you talk about overcoming obstacles mentally when you haven't cleared as many obstacles as a lot of others have? |

" You're unsure of yourself and this response is purely subjective. Very rotten combo, I'd say. You will never see a man faking anger, passion and relentless behavior.
You will always see a man faking love, politeness and respectful behavior. |

" Let's use some psychology then. You want full respec. Let's look at real life. If you mess up, is there a reset button...? You will never see a man faking anger, passion and relentless behavior.
You will always see a man faking love, politeness and respectful behavior. |
