Here's something you can never lose, but only gain: Psychology of Exile

That was a hell of a ride.
Glad I've read through all of it. I'm amazed of how some people find it offensive and pretentious when someone is trying to use accurate words to describe things. I find it sad because sometimes I wish I'd have the vocabulary to speak my thoughts in a comprehensive way and this fluidly. And this especially in english.

Farewell and great read.

Welcome. It's strange how "hell" and "ride" are synonymous to most people when it comes to my literature...

You will always see a man faking love, politeness and respectful behavior.

As such you can not kill anything if it is not alive because mass and energy are not lost in the process of any chemical reaction.

I was making a point. It doesn't mean that I personally agree with it. It means that you should tell this to those who think it's sensible, to those who make statements like: "Kill time.", "Kill the lights.", "Kill the idea.", "Kill the source", et cetera. I was merely turning that into jokes when it came to the golf games, puzzles and race car fuel.

I can play at your little word game as well. Words are symbols as such they have different meanings.

Saying 'Kill the idea' means to be done with it, get rid of it. Kill can be used because it has been adopted in American culture to have a second meaning, which is 'to end'.

The issue you again avoided was that your analogies are flawed because they all use 'Kill' differently.

"To Kill a plant" has a different meaning than "To Kill the Lights" If you were actually using proper English and not slang you would say "Turn Off The Lights."

If you tried to explain to someone that does not know English how you can use Kill in two different ways they might be confused because in their language it sounds wrong.

You also failed accept that you were wrong in saying we Kill Fuel. It isn't even possible to kill it, it is not alive.

Your example was flawed thus your reasoning is flawed, and thus your point is mostly invalid.

Edit:

When solving a puzzle you are actually adopting the idea and thought of the puzzle. You are actually giving more life to the puzzle and the idea of the puzzle than killing it because you as well as the person who created the puzzle now know the solution and some of the thought behind the puzzle.

I wouldn't state the first sentence, if I were you. I could easily just make the statement that "killing" doesn't have to apply to only life, and can apply to any sense of destruction or removal of anyone or thing. Hence words are just symbols to express our myriad of interpretations in a cold and mysterious world.

My example wasn't flawed at all. How was it flawed? Let's start with that.
You will never see a man faking anger, passion and relentless behavior.

You will always see a man faking love, politeness and respectful behavior.

I don't have one. Do I have to have one? It's information. Information is generally neutral on every spectrum.

Yes you do. Every post on this forum should have an agenda, an intention. Else it's the very definition of spam.

...And where better to put spam than the off-topic board?

Have fun in the sandpit.
