What is up with all the scammers lately?
" Sadly, this haut kuisine is all I can offer you for those alterations. Have a sausage in a bun. Vote +1 to change Path of Exile to Path of Nerfs.
We hate to say, but ProjectPT was right. |

" Two metres of muscle and good cheer in a watchman's uniform approach. 'Hi there Mr. Dibbler, make that a dwarven special, double rat, bun extra crumbly. Oh, and something, err, less cooked for the lady.' You have to be realistic about these things. Logen Ninefingers Last edited by Bars#2689 on Oct 21, 2016, 6:49:15 AM

I'll answer yours if you'll answer mine first:
What's up with all these posters calling anything they don't like "scam"? Ok... I wont wait for an answer to that. Trying to buy something for less than you think it's worth isn't scamming. |

"It is if your knowingly doing it to take advantage of players who don't know any better... by, as he said, clicking accept as quick as you can or putting in ludicrous amounts. And if your going to give "people deserve it if they can't figure out its a scam/bad deal" crap, then the conversation ends here because theres no dealing with those people. |

Just disagree on what "taking advantage" means. Buying something for what someone thinks it's worth, even if you think it's worth more isn't scamming. It's finding a good deal.

Whats up with all the sheltered children that call everything a scam?
Not a scam 1: Player A says, give me this item so I can see if its any good or master craft it for you and I'll give it right back but then leaves with item. You gave him the item without receiving anything for it and trusted someone you don't know. Not as scam. Not a scam 2: Player A says, I'll offer you 5c for your 6L shaves. You click OK and choose to sell. You decided to sell for that price, nothing was stopping you from selling for more. Not a scam. Not a scam 3: Player A says, I'd like to buy the amulet listed for 1ex from you. Player A puts 1c in trade window after you put ammy in it and you click ok. YOU CLICKED OK. Not a scam. Every "scam" comes from the scamee doing something dumb. Literally all of them. If you don't know that trusting someone on the internet is a risky business you should thank GGG for teaching you a valuable lesson without it costing you anything. Also, someone offering less than the price at which your item is listed is absolutely not a scam. How fragile are some of you? Prices are not set or defined and people are able to sell or buy things for whatever they want. Stop taking it personally when someone offers you less than the 2ex you are asking for the shit tier res boots with 25 MS. Last edited by whitelytning#4298 on Oct 21, 2016, 10:47:45 AM

" And what's a scam according to you? Or a cheat? You transfer all the guilt on the cheated and call them responsible. The next step is to apply this kind of logic to robberies. And finally state that victims of murder did it wrong as they didn't protect themselves the way they should. This logic is ridiculously dumb, but yeah, it's the internet. This is a buff © 2016

" So intentionally trying to take advantage of someone isn´t scamming them? That´s like saying that companies sending fake bills to see if people will pay them isn´t a scam. That is illegal by the way before you start doing that whitelytning, thought I would point that out before you actually think it is a great way to make money... Unless you try to barter by saying "Hey, I don´t think x is worth y so I will offer z for it instead" you are actually trying to scam. If you go to the store and put a fake pricetag on an item and proceed to checkout it is actually illegal but it would be using the same logic as you did in your argument. If you don´t believe me maybe try it and then explain to the cops that you actually taught the store a valuable lesson that they should always frisk every customer and double check their bags vs their reciepts. |
