Pretty simple..... do the below and you will never be out of red maps

Chisel, alch, vaal, 1-3frag ALL maps you can run
keep a tab or portion of a tab available for red maps you cant run- sell or trade up

It is painful how often ppl complain about map drops - this worked for me well before the atlas too

Sticky this or something... it really is this simple!!!!!!!!!!!

No one is complaining about sustaining red maps. Even low level maps like t11 are red now and everyone can sustain t11 maps and t12 maps these days. The problems starts when you want to sustain >t13 and higher maps. "Chisel, alch, vaal, 1-3frag" is what everyone is doing these days, some even add zana mods and sextants BUT even then it still is not possible to sustain t15 and t16.

The thing that I don't understand is why people think they even *should* be able to sustain 14/15/16, when you never were intended to be able to sustain these tiers.
U MAD?
tier 12+ is a luxury we are - by design - strive to get to but never be able to comfortably settle there

this is the design intended by ggg. i wont say i like it but there are more important issues to fix right now than this one - like power disparity between builds. when all good builds (as in 'proper' and not in 'broken') have similar power rating it will be the time to start messing with content accessability
You can easily chain T16's despite assumed game design. It's not that hard anymore.

Check out my LA build: 1782214
my point was really more so that in last few weeks my map pool has been depleting whereas prior to that i couldnt keep up with the amount of drops i was taking in, and i am not doing anything differently in my approach to running maps. i found that to be odd.
Shitysushi - Arrow shooting build.

you dont vaal every map- that is your problem- solved

anymore questions?
I got a fever and the only prescription, is more cowbell!
I saw a guy once who sustained maps rolling them blue non chiseled, even red maps. Map problems = Solved.

Maybe because facerolling lowlevel maps isn't that much fun?

it was all fine and good when maps were just random areas you farmed for lewts..

but it is pretty clear high maps should be sustainable.
1 the atlas bonus.. if they wanted to keep the status quo they could have easily not added a bonus to the atlas
2 the post 95 exp nerfs... it is clear to me that ggg fully expects people to get to maps that give more experience but they dont want the 1evel 100 to be easy.. so this nerf is clearly to balance ultra high level progression with the thought that high teir maps are accessible
3 you have a bloody quest which requires doing teir 16 maps.. so yeah its core content now.

you should be able to at-least reach t16 and reliably and repeatedly reach it as well. it should take you a while to do so .. which is facilitated by how bull shit actually unlocking the atlas is without trading up.. but once you are there .. you should be able to stay there

Map tier hardly matters any more for leveling speed. Best leveling strategies don't involve T14+ maps in 2.4, so I don't really see what you're getting at.

that is not 100% accurate. the best leveling strategies for ultra high leveling dont involve t14+ because the risk simply wont ever be worth the reward.

a level 99 cant afford to die.. so avoiding death is just as an important a factor to leveling as how much exp you get.

and plus once you get to an ultra high level... everything gives equally shit exp. so again risk vs reward

But before that ..im talking about people going to level 95... there is a pretty appreciable difference between a t11 and a t15 exp wise.

but yeah if you are going to 96 .. just crush whatever tier of map you dont need to put any effort into maintaining..

contrary to popular believe level 95 was not considered a reasonable goal for the majority of players.. that is actually a fairly recent thing.

and a few years ago level 90 was what most people just stopped

before that it was the high 80s ..

make no mistake the bar has been slowly moving up
