+1 totally...
if lucky-user-selected-by-random's-script didn't logged ingame after 48h then send beta access inmediately whitout waiting time to lucky-user-selected-by-random's-script-and-logged-in-website-at-least-2-days-ago. Easy to implement. Last edited by LoLaZo#7995 on Aug 13, 2011, 10:19:34 AM

I think this is kind of silly. If they wanted to give beta keys to everybody, they could. It's just too early to do that.
I would wager that they also want quite random betatesters, not just the most eager fans, to test the game out. They are probably on the verge of how many invites they can send, so it's not a big deal if somebody doesn't answer the call immediately. The bottom line is, they send as much invites as they need betatesters at the moment. If most of the receivers are inactive, they will just ramp up the number of sent invites. I imagine that if everything goes well, they will grow the beta test bigger and bigger constantly. Pretty soon we are in semi-open beta, where everybody can get in with invites and player-to-player invites. You just need to chill. It's a momentarily problem, only for fans, and it doesn't need some kind of programming solution. Let them just focus on the game :) |

At the very least keys should have a 72hr lifespan. If they are not claimed they get sent out over twitter where I can just miss them due to someone copying it 0.1sec faster.
