Yup, IDENTICAL problem (I'm from NZ too), since about early yesterday NZ time. I generally get around 30ms on Aus servers, I'm hitting 180 consistently.

Like someone else in the thread said, if i continue to go into instances, maybe one in every 8 would be about 30 ping. (very very unstable though, fluctuating between 30-70 causing mobs to jump forward).

bump for clarification/fix.

edit: Ilz what ISP you with, someone stated it might be an ISP problem. I'm with Vodafone.

Im with vodafone

Damn, I guess it seems it might be possible to be our ISP, doesn't seem to be anything on their site about maintenance that might correlate to our high ping.

Called Vodafone, they said there has nothing changed on their end at the time... So no idea what is causing it... Vodafone is pretty useless though at the best of times so....
Can any one else who is using Vodafone as isp confirm if they are having same issues with aus server? I'm still not convinced it's a change in their end since no other games I play have issues....
It's almost certainly a Vodafone issue, as they're the ones who determine the routing to GGG's servers, and it's not uncommon we only have this issue only for PoE. If it's of any use towards you making progress with Vodafone, I'm on Fibre, in Chch.

Yea I just changed to fibre in Hamilton a few weeks ago... it was fine for a week or two and then all of a sudden changed for what seems to be no good reason.. I guess its time to start yelling at this fiber tech support people because being nice with vodafone achieves absolutely nothing lol
You make any progress? Called Vodafone, they literally beat around the bush, regardless of whether they let me talk to a higher level up technician or not. Pretty useless.

For just adding to the stat: on fibre in Auckland, Vodafone.
I am also with Vodafone VDSL, same issue with lag here

Having the same issue here with Vodafone ADSL, normally 50ms, now a steady 220+, Vodafone support as usual is useless (even more so after hours)

Bump, also having issues, iPrimus.
Hi guys,
ive been battling with the same issues as well on the Austrlia realm.
Im with Iprimus not vodafone.

a little workaround im doing at the moment is playing on the singapore realm. It does'nt come up in the drop down menu but if you just type in singapore it should work. i get stable 100ms ping on there at least and no bad instances.

This makes me think it has something to do with the australia ream because im having no problems at all on singapore.
Also having some pretty major issues with Vodafone NZ (Auckland).

On good nights I average around 50ms, bad nights average about ~250ms (no fiber yet T_T); tonight I can't even log in for more than a minute. I'm hanging when I click "Log in", and hanging some more when I try to log into a character. If it doesn't take me back to the log in screen then I can zone into the game, port to my ho and either DC trying to get there or DC roughly 20 seconds after loading into my ho.
