Dont forget its also a a 300~+ DPS weapon with the best rolls (Mines low on the physical), it can also be BIS for many 1H converted skills.

No, SaiyanZ is right. Doryani's is ok with spells in fact it is very good for the low price but a good dagger or wand will always be far superior.

But he is wrong in that they are not really good with spells. I'm more than aware he means things like Detonate Dead, which wands and daggers cannot apply to.

Yet in-game they do perform well. Of course an "okay" dagger or wand will be much better, but that assumes they have good rolls. Doryani's is guaranteed 32% implicit and 80-100% variable. That's 112-132% applicable spell damage. But the only good thing about Doryani's isn't the damage, but the guarantee. The leech is absolute shit, utterly useless unless you need every bit of leech you can possibly nab, but that means you have shite damage.

The only other good thing besides the raw damage is its dual attack and cast speed increases. Again, not the best, but it helps with both attacks and spells. While it's not amazing with Leap Slam or Flame Dash, it does still help them out.
I've always wanted to make a full Doryani build - Doryani's fist, Doryani's Catalyst in off-hand, with a red-background rapier (more dex than you have) in your main hand so it counts as unarmed, and so the catalyst is just a stat-stick. Doryani's Invitation (lightning variant) would help a bit too. Both would scale lightning damage from attacks and spells.

50k+ tooltip dps is pretty easy with a small amount of skill-tree investment, 20/20 gems, a 5L, and a decent weapon. Depends on the skill, of course.

After that you need to use more expensive stuff - level 21 gems, a 6L with 5 good dps supports, more treePS, god-tier weapons etc. But 100k dps is not that hard either when you start doing all that.

If you count flasks, charges, and other on-kill bonuses, then it starts to get pretty out of hand quite quickly.

how do people NOT get 100k dps now-a-days?
especially with weapons like dorys which adds a crap ton of damage.

with passives, ascendancies, gear and all of the "more" damage support gems we have... i literally have no idea how people can't and don't surpass 100k DPS. millions is pretty common now-a-days. highest i've ever gotten was about 12 million DPS on herald of ash overkill burn damage.
after that about 1.8 million on a blade vortex build.
every CoC build i've done has just about a million calculable DPS.

i'd say you can get 100k with just about every skill in the game with pretty minimal effort

I wonder if there is a widely agreed-upon calculation method. From what I've seen, it's "industry standard" to multiply tooltip DPS by each target you hit with a projectile skill... which is just insane to me. The equivalent would be arbitrarily multiplying any Area skill's tooltip DPS by 10 to 40 because it is capable of hitting that many enemies at once, e.g., all you need to "reach 1 million dps" is to have 50k tooltip dps, and an area skill where you assume you can hit 20 enemies at once.

12 million tooltip dps would be pretty baller though

Well actually the probably highest possible dps isnt even that much investment, although Im sure that both ways are really clunky and only do their job good on singletarget.
