A lot of people dont understand its burst dam not one shots that kill most of the time so block or evasion is extremely useful too. Like his barrage attack is survivable if only 1/3 of balls hit you.
If you wont understand defense stacking, build a high speed low drag ranger and just dont get hit.

probably because he's crit'ing.
and since when is armour based + 4.5k life glassy ?
maybe that's what's wrong with the game, if that's considered "glassy".
