It's time for preleveled/preascended characters to enter the shop or be made available somehow.
" For temp leagues, just require a person to reach level 80 and kill Malachai on Merc with at least one character to unlock the benefit. It keeps the purity of race and progression for a fresh league, but still lets people play how they want instead of slogging through two pointless difficulties each time. Edit: Thinking on it some more, I think the only modes where this kind of thing would go completely against the game are in actual race events and hardcore. For softcore Standard and temp leagues, it shouldn't be an issue, given the above condition. Tired of trolls? $20 for a starter pack of T7 maps, because that damn slogging through T1 - T6
$50 for a pack of T15 pre-rolled with packsize, no TC & reflect $70 for ten Uber Atziri sets Why not? It's just a convenience on saving time with boring shit. /s When night falls

Something like this would literally never happen in PoE. Not really much point in discussing.

You're probably right, but there's no harm in it either. Tired of trolls? Ignore them.

" He is actually, for quite a few reasons, and honestly its justified. He also occasionally likes to feed from the forum responses. Ive made a similar suggestion in the past
Spoiler
When you get to level 85(or 90) for the first time in a league you get the option to create a blank character (similar to the choice Leo offers for LLD) who is already 60level and starts at A1 Mercilles with all the quests up to that point completed and not a single point allocated in the tree. That character's quest rewards that award gems/gear as well as the gems offered from the vendors in each difficulty are NOT TRADEBLE (similar to Leo's premade characters' gear). The character in every other way is free to act as if he was made from level 1. The alternative requirement would be to kill mercilles Malachai. If the alternative is implemented then GGG solves both the issue with the tedius and repetitive leveling progress as well as giving a purpose/goal to players to actually do merciless Malachai (and not just get the skill point from a4)
I completely disagree on the paying aspect of the OP suggestion. But i completely agree on the rest. Especially if the waiting period is 3 weeks and there are some other requirements (as those i mentioned in the spoiler) then the idea could be useful without being broken. I agree, Regulator, and I'm not saying it has to be a paid feature, but if that's what it takes for GGG to implement it, I'd be willing as long as the price wasn't too high. That's why I said ~$30 would be the upper limit for this feature, and it would have to be for all new characters I make--not $30 per character. Otherwise it just ends up as a great feature trapped behind a sh** model, and nobody wants that. As an added perk, this would incentivize buying up character slots too, because it wouldn't be so time consuming to get characters to a point that you actually want to keep them, so those rosters would fill up faster.
The goal of this feature is not to give people a way to cheat fresh season progression, Hardcore, or races. Nor is it to nullify end game. It's only goal is for people who like to play/experiment with a wide variety of builds to do so in a way that doesn't bore them away from the game altogether. Speaking from experience, this is the number one reason I ever stop playing this game for whole seasons at a time. The "Grind" in "Grinding Gear Games" should not be a tedious/boring leveling process, but the progression and acquisition involved with end-game content, because the entire game (and economy) is balanced around this. There isn't a real point to anything before maps, if we're being completely honest, but starting from Act 1 Merc still provides that new character feel that so many of us appreciate, so it's a fair compromise.
