Option To Start In Hideout

I would prefer that as well. Although I could imagine that it might actually be due to a technical thing.

But agreed if it is possible it should be done, ideally yesterday.

no it is not. this is already implemented for pvp only characters. just try to create pvp only char, and you will see this feature.

all that ggg must do is just enable it for all characters.
Though I also agree with this idea, a doubt GGG will implement this. The Town is their biggest "billboard ad" for their MTX, it will be like depriving themselves the only available space to showcase their MTX to the players inside the game.
"A game IS supposed to waste your time but it's not supposed to make you FEEL like you're wasting your time:
It's supposed to make you WANT to waste your time."
Sounds good to me, would be very convenient in late game and save time.

I'm not sure about the "showing off MTX in the city" argument. I pretty much only pay any attention to other people's MTX if it's something really striking and spectacular, and those are usually advertised everywhere so that they're hard to miss anyway. I doubt I'm unique in that sense since it seems I take more time to look around than most people (usually focused on doing everything quickly) anyway.
+1 Please, the QoL from this implementation would be appreciated!!!!!

With all the effort I put into personalizing my hideout, it would be great if I can log into the game and start there.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

MFers found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on them. I am not so foolish.
what is the fastest location to start game? I use hard drive now, not ssd.

People ask this since forever... (or at least since HO exist ;) )

2tips:

1 - Use a fast loading town to log in. You do that by let it be the last town that you entered before logout. I think Act 2, 5 and 7 maybe are the faster ones - 10 is also god, but normally are more people there, slowing loading down a bit.

2 - You can type /hideout on command when in town to go to Hideout. This way is faster than looking for waypoint to make the travel.

Exiles, pffff!

Recalling Chris Wilson's (or someone on the development team) response to a question about being able to enter the game directly into a hideout.

Not a quote, approximate content:
"
If players show up in town, it will greatly affect socialisation and make it seem like you're alone in the world.
Right now you see other players going about their business in the town, which adds to the atmosphere and liveliness of what's going on.

I would also add that hardware problems are a user problem. The game has long been well optimized for average players. Buy an ssd, it's $100. Buy a graphics card, it's $300. Invest in yourself and your leisure time for years to come.

And there is no point in speculating about the reasons why you appear in the town and not in the ho. The business, or convention, of the game from its inception has been to spawn the player in the town when you enter the game. It doesn't matter.

First, this is a bs reason given. If the intend was socialization, HO wouldn't exist at all nor one would be able to login in a ghost town.

Second, does not matter if SSD is faster or not. You still face connection fail sometimes. Moreover You are rendering and using memory for things that you will not use. So, basically, you allocate in memory a lot of thing that exist in the town and in the town only, once you will go straight to you HO and don't use them at all anymore.

So, please, before just say to people spend money because you think they should, see the whole picture, right?
