Game constantly crashing PC randomly...
It's disconcerting that these sorts of PoE exclusive cpu crashes have gone on for years without a fix.

Same issue here. With the same spec as a previous Poster (i5 with a Gtx 760). After playing PoE for a while the game just starts losing fps until the point it just crashes the computer, its not even a BSOD, it just goes all black and I have to hard reset. No event logs are done.
I even bought a SSD HD but it was of no use, the game still crashes my computer like nothing else can. It does look like a memory leak, something to do with creating the folders in shadercache in the PoE directory, when I delete those folders there is a slightly better improvement but soon I can feel that the computer is about to crash as soon as my FPS keeps going down. So... what to do? No launch commands helped, downclocking, Dx9, D9EX, Dx11... post processing on and off, hyperthreading disabled/enabled, lockstep/predicted... I have tried everything. PoE is the only thing that can make my computer just go to a black screen where the only solution is too press the hard reset button. It does seem RAM related, there is something really terrible in game's coding that seems to be consuming the memory at an exponential rate until the computer gives in. Do we have any solution for this? Any source of the cause? |

I have the same Problem as well but not every day sometimes is running very well with no crashes at all.
The cause people is the game itself it's not your hardware and so far ggg had no response at all to this crashes and no fix so far. Something must have happend with the legacy update. |

I'm just happy to see that other people are experiencing the same issue that I am. I've had this problem with POE for like 2 years. This isn't a new issue at all. The game crashes my computer at random intervals. No heating issues as I've closely monitored. Power supply is more than adequate. At one point I had also thought that I pinpointed the issue as being sound related. This is definitely a problem on their end.

I too have this issue... Coming back to Legacy with all of these problems is very disappointing.

However, I have already reinstalled windows, ran memtest86+, as well as a CPU/GPU load test. I find it odd that my computer basically shuts down completely with no event viewer log only when I play certain games. PoE being one of them. My friends are really into PoE and I would like to join them. But at this rate... I feel like there's no point anymore. However, I will continue down my planned path of replacing components one at a time to see if any of those are points of failure. But like others have said, that's kinda hard to believe since I have no problems running other games at High/Ultra settings. |

I cannot get past the first dialog without POE freezing up my system. It's a massive shame, I was really excited to try this game out.

I had the same problems like you guys.
Check in "Options" --> "Graphic" position: "Engine Multithreading" and disable it. Worked for me. Since i disabled it game stopped crashing. Hope it will help :) |

" The game was powering down and restarting my PC within minutes of booting up the game. I got into the options and turned off the engine multithreading, and my problem appears to be resolved. Thanks for posting! |

I've been having this issue constantly for the past week. Crashes to desktop very often, usually occurs when I'm loading a new area.
" I tried this. D9ex still crashed. Regular d9 was completely unplayable for me so I don't know if that would fix it. System: Windows 10 GPU: 480 CPU: 8350 16gb ram Last edited by Vandicate#5921 on May 15, 2017, 10:25:27 AM
