quality of community

hello peeps.

i played wow for long time and i loved the community there except those anal jokes haha but... you know, people were actually chatting while doing instances, talking about the game in detail, etc. that, was an usa server.

then i played a game called woi on euro server. dang! intelligence quality dropped like %96. polish, turkish, russian and who knows from where people, just can't speak english and when they do, it's just what is neccessary. stuff like, LFG, LFM, WTS, need 1 more healer.

no casual chat, no jokes, they don't even understand the jokes you make, they just attack monsters like antisocials, grinding all day... boring.

so, while i don't even have a beta key it's better to ask here if this game also the same with the latter?

cause then, i can move on, as i can't stand the dumb and dull.

if you call me a racist, so be it. but in my opinion, there should be a "pure english speaking server" and an "international" alternative to that.

yes, it's not your fault if you are 15 and from a non-english speaking country. it's just natural you can't speak english.

so what is logical to do here, leading these people to an international server, where they can play with their fellow countrymen and keep the pure english server as it is.

maybe not so easy to do but it is much more important to me than how many times you can upgrade your gear.

There wasnt any talk yet about oceanic ones, as far as i know.

What does the age have to do with a non-english speaking country? Im reffering to your "if your are 15 and from a non-english speaking country". What if I'm like 30 years old? I still would be in a non-english speaking country.

I have to say that I'm from a non-english speaking country too, but every time I play on a english speaking server Im going to speak english, because it is simply unpolite to use another language in global, general or areas chat.

I have to admit, that my english isnt that good, but why should i have a restriction only because of that? I try to speak it proberly and try to hold on to rules. In every country there are some black sheeps, in some more than in others.

Im from europe...to be exact...germany and I have to apologize for all those black sheeps that are in this country because I know that there are some who dont know how to behave.

Just find some heads in game whose english skillz are good enough for you and hook up with them. Pretty simple imo.

What he means is that if you are 20+ years old, you have had well enough time to learn English. If you are 15 you simply haven't had the time so you cannot blame them for not knowing. Blame the country who dubs stuff for whatever reason =).

It appeared that you put those kids around 15 who doesn't know English very well in an "unworthy" section of humanity.

Also, you can play on US server to avoid those you hate so much. I don't see an issue here. It's only an issue if you cannot choose gateway.

Good thread. I was wondering the same thing. Im playing Drakensang Online atm and that is the same problem Im facing. No one EVER say a thing.. and when they do it's in another language :( Sad because I am playing on the USEast server and have only ran into 4-5 people that actually playing from the usa.

mmo games are much better with "real" social interaction, that's all i'm saying. why play an mmo and not an awesome single player game if you are all about the game and don't care about getting socialized?

go play neverwinter nights, dragon age, elder scrolls. way better than any mmo.

with "real" i mean something more than wts, wtb, noob, owned, pawned, ^^ and O.o and whatever.

if you notice, i also didn't say make an us server and ip ban everyone from other parts of the world. i said, pure english speaking server. so someone from germany or tanzania also can play there.

but if your english is very limited, for your sake and for everyone elses go to international server. that just would make one of the servers smarter at least.

Well, interesting thing: this guys DO socialize, but in their own small comunity and, obviusly, between themself. But it;s not reallyt a bad thing: yes, mmo is all about socialisation, but it's also about wonderfull gamplay. Sometimes mmo have better gameplay and story (or maybe more interesting world to the particular individual) that they more like to play mmo, when a single player game. Still, yes, i think it really woud be better - if guys like them speak more. But i will not blame them, after all - i know many people who don't really speak or write English (actually it's most of my acquintances.)

so they have no problem on what server they are playing, they will make their own clan or guild; BalkanPower, OttomanLegacy, PolishPolkadots... and keep it to themselves.

btw, wtf your nationality has to do with a mmo? you make your ethiopian guild number 1, what does that prove? if a country sucks, it sucks. if it rules, it rules. who cares how proud you are of your nationality other than those from the same nation? but that's not really the subject of this thread.

when i started this thread i didn't know there were 2 gateways us and euro (well you still have brazilians who doesn't speak english in us servers normally but whatever) sooooooooo......

i just always thought and wanted to say that mmos should make pure english and international servers (language-wise, not nations). that just makes the most sense to me.
