You getting things wrong. You need two Consuming Dark daggers for 100% chaos conversion (each have 50%) not for 100% spell damage. Spell damage boost just dps so more is better obviusly (the range is 40-60 so you can have 80-120 total) but max roll is not required for the build to work.
I understood that already :)...From the time he said 1 legacy and one shield + that other armour....I thought there is some catch with the spell dmg that i don't know.

Hey i don't know how you guys have trouble with crit or mana i am at 34 crit chance and that means i crit pretty much every pack because each trap from cluster trap rolls its own crit, also i don't use a mana pot and my mana regens as soon as i throw the traps. I am using Ice trap, cluster trap, trap and mine damage, elemental focus and increased aoe until i can 5l or 6l my carcass. my damage is 12k without charges.


I did normal atziri many times without dying, and i melt twinned t12 shipyard boss, don't have higher tier, so cant test. Still i would like OP to update his thread to show his current setup.

You will gain lot more dps once your Ice Trap hit lv20, also start working on quality on your support gems. At the final stage of this build you should sit at around 17-19k unbuffed, which is more than enough for T14-T15 and Uber. Check my previous posts, I have linked two videos doing T14 and T15 somewhere in this thread.

And OP's choice certainly seems to work very well for me.

But, consider this reddit post.

If you want to experiment with something other than Chain Reaction/Blinding Assault, it might work out better; OtOH, OP's choice easily kills every boss in the game so why risk something else which might not work out as well?


With that reddit post and following comments, how can you still suggest Saboteur?
Can anyone give feedback on going with Trickster or Assassin over Saboteur.
I'm leaning towards Trickster for the survivability buffs, as Assassin's Crit bonuses would just be a bit wasted, the damage isn't even needed that much.

Hey there,

the trick with Saboteur is the Shotgun effect, you can reach this with Sunblast and other Ascendancy classes aswell, but with a higher gear restriction. Wich leads to a much harder gear requirement for capping res and stats.

And with Sabo there's one point the most player don't see or don't get its power.
Its the Bomb Specialist Node, the 10% chance to trigger an additional time is bonkers. For example, I did yesterday a Residence map with 130% Quantity (dat damn dapper...) with Doubleboss and enfeeble. I threw 2 sets of cluster traps, both triggered twice -> Double boss isn't anymore.

I personally would not suggest to get an other sub class.

ps: there's a jewel which grants an additional 10% chance to trigger the traps for a 2nd time. I haven't tested it yet, but this may be ridicilous strong.
pps: I can't wait for the mtx :D


edit: Damn proper jewels with 2x damg 1x life are so damn expensive...
