No I dont use steam... I did try reinstalling that vc_redist.x64.exe file and it kept stopping installing at 99% or just failing. Then I removed all files and game folders from POE reinstalled everything and it worked again somehow. No idea what I changed as I tried so many things to begin with....

My error says ''your operating system is too good for abuse from this game, please update your life''

make sure that update is installed, it is quite big, and you may need some pre-requisites to be installed beforehand. update everything in windows update until you get that one.

once that is done, the 2015 redist will install just fine.

so yeah, if you havnt done a windows update for a while, you are going to need to.



Also (KB2999226) may also be needed. make sure those are installed

Hi. Im running Win7Ultimate x64.

With no SP1. VC-redist-x86 are failing to install.

I updated to SP1 through update center. Start POE, patch went through fine. Launch game. Works for me.

Yeah worked for me.Make absolutely sure sp1 is installed then uninstall and reinstall VC_redist.

hi i had simmilar problem with redist W7 ultimate no SP
solved this by grabbing all dlls wich were in redist 2015 package (chose your way of extracting those - either in vmware or from CAB file) putting them into poe bin folder. this allowed me to actually run the client app .
to get rid of nasty dialog "update your current system to" i simply specified in properties of *.exe to "run this program in compatibility mode" "windows XP (service pack 3)"

My PC is in the same boat, except SP1 update keeps failing via update center - trying to manually update now.

Not sure what the rationale was for changing up OS requirements...

please fix this, I am having the same issue since the update...
