Any 6-socket item seems to yield 10 Jeweler's Orbs, regardless of links.

Any item with a linked set of green, red and blue sockets will yield a Chromatic Orb.

Not sure if it helps but I got it from a white 20% reinforced oar, i don't remember the socket layout on it. Note that it was already at 20% when it dropped.

Edit:
Just got an armour shard on a pair of white velvet boot with a natural 20% quality. I think the "natural" might be the key here.

Buy Chromatic for 3x Jeweler's
Buy Scouring for 4x Chance
Buy Regret for 2x Scouring

Act 1 blacksmith sells armor scraps for 1 whetstone
Act 2 blacksmith sells whetstone for 3 armor scraps

I was making some glassblowers' baubles...

if you use magic flasks that would otherwise be worth alt shards or alchemy shards: bubbling, surgeon, caustic, seething, fending, etc...

but they are used to match the 40% quality you end up getting only the glassblower bauble, and losing the shards.

The system doesnt recognize the two systems: value + ingredient from recipe on the same item.

Bad bug, because in the end, the surgeon preffix is worth one alchemy shard OR the % quality it adds for the recipe of glassblower.

I put all my currency items, all my jewelry and a gem.
Both rares and magics jewelry, 3 rares of each type. In different values.


Got 2 recipes we already know.

rings + red gem = ring of fire
fusing + chromatic = jewelry orb.

I went and added a few rare belts, some other gems and some amulets.

Got another recipe

amulets + gem = onyx of resist type

It looks like unidentified rares are 3 transmutation shards each. So 7 unidentified rares would give you 1 transmutation orb and 1 shard.

I'm not sure I'd take that over the chance that the rares might have for alchemy shards though...

Any skill gem + Orb of Scouring = Same skill gem - 1 level.

Any rare with 6 mods appears to give an orb of augmentation

perhaps u should make it clearer that this is not by "Sell Items", cause it's via "Buy Items"

and it's Yeena (Act2) not Nessa ;)

Reward is not not Orb but Shards (1 or 2).
