Any alternatives before u get Disfavour in a fresh league?

Literally any 2H will do for this build. Sure, the weapon range and the high pdps are nice to have but any halfway decent 2H rare or sth like a Kaoms Primacy and a 5L will be more than sufficient to start this build off. From there you can incremental upgrades and work your way up to better gear.

The Ascendancy iteration of this build will most likely not feature a legacy Kaoms anymore but a Lightning Coil as I will try to utilize Bloodlust in the second 6L. But we will see, don't want to reveal too much for now.... :)

I'm still not sure what to do... Builds like Voltaxic LA and Chaosblast will probably be nerfed too much.

Cyclone or Dual Strike would be intesting for me..

Hoping this build can bring something nice :) I don't care about 100k+ dps but more about being tanky and doing fair dmg (especially solo)

Nice build! One of the best melee build i've seen so far, DPS is insane and is pretty tanky too, i really liked your atziri run.
I'm currently using an Oro's Sacrifice sword build, glad to see 2H melee are still alive, too bad i can't use earthquake >.<

Could you play this build as Scion as well? Or are the Scion Ascendancy passives simply not good enough for this build? Would like to play this in Softcore.

Playing this build as a Scion would be highly ineffective as you would not have the proper ascandancies, furthermore you would need to waste a lot of points to obtain the required passives. So basically no.
