If you need to take a break from the game to do something else, then do so. There's no reason why that "something else" HAS to be part of PoE. Maybe it would be nice, but it would require a lot of time and resources to implement something like that. GGG probably doesn't have those kind of resources to spare, at least not for something like this.

Most online games also have various mini-games integrated in them. Card games, farm games, hireling games etc. The reason is to add some kind of extra collectible and create a small, relaxing, yet entertaining pastime to break the game's monotony. |

I understand you are a fan of hearthstone but a stand-alone card game is completely irrelevant. A card game weaven into the world of Wraeclast is another story. I don't think all the developers who integrated such games into their titles are idiots. There are countless examples of mini-games in RPGs, FPS', MMORPGs and other genres. Did those developers waste their time because their title's genre wasn't agreeable with the mini-game? Certainly not. Instead it adds flavor and variety. |

Might aswell do it since the limitations on how you can farm them and the insane rarity of them really makes them useless.
Grind your gear the old style way, much faster and gives you more levels at the same time. |

Also, you are one person interested in TCG's that plays PoE. Should they implement this entire system for a very small (probably under 1%) of players? What would be the point of doing that? Wouldn't you prefer they work on game content rather than this "minigame" under 5% of players will be interested in? As I said, people interested in TCG's play TCG's. Not ARPG's. What you are proposing isn't bad or useless, but it's not worth the time investment from GGG at all. As other players have stated, if you really want this, make it yourself. |

Most mmorpgs have mini-games (not only card games) in them. Don't worry, balance is an easy thing to achieve in "this card game crap". Also pulling "statistics" out of your imagination or the unconstructive "then make it yourself" comments, won't get you anywhere I'm afraid.
