" Im actively choosing to be positive today, like as to act as a counterweight to all the negativity. Never understood the appeal of negativity. I dont see any any key!

I'm looking forward to the change. As someone who has played for 3 years, logging in to my favorite game and having it feel different is exciting. It's like my girlfriend changed her hair color and got new boobs. Familiar but pleasantly different.

If the proposed changes upset you then you don't really get what poe is about. The core of poe is MEANINGFUL choices for character building. This is why GGG is always "destroying" things because they go after no brainers.
If something becomes an obvious choice they will make changes. Nothing is safe. It used to be aura stacking. It was the way to play poe. Boom gone. +Max res, gotta have it. Boom gone. Iron reflexes, way at the top of the taken keystone stats. Nerfed. Complete reliance on leech for life and mana? Not anymore. Block and spell block, super effecient best defense everybody max it. Boom. When you start to automatically associate things in this game expect it to change. Do you plan an ev char without ondar's guile? A life based caster without eb? A projectile spell without lmp/gmp? Nope, mostly nope, and super nope. Automatic choice, not meaningful. Boom. I used to only play standard. I thought I didn't have time to be rerolling, I wanted to play my beloved characters forever. The leech nerf got me, wrecked my favorite dual claw ranger so bad. Though I was done with this game. Guildie got me to try invasion league. Finally it all made sense. The game is designed around fresh starts are rerolling. I totally get where op is coming from, I was there myself at one point. It may seem completely contrary to why you play this game, but please give the next temp hc league a try. Embrace the changes. Learn to let your characters go. This game is so much better when don't fight against it. When I kill a man he stays dead.

" I'm with you here. One of my favorite games of all time is getting a total overhaul, a lot of new content and much more. How it is possible to be negative about that, is beyond me. Golden age! Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

These comments are directed towards the OP and all others that feel they have to leave/quit PoE due to the upcoming changes:
- Once Act IV is live, try it out and if you don't like it, then leave - Don't leave prematurely without knowing exactly how the game changes - PoE has changed dramatically, several times, in the last 3 to 4 years - Every time it's changed there's been ppl for it, and against it, but the population continues to grow and most would say the game keeps getting better (especially with the major expansions) - Pretending you know what the game is going to be like is detrimental to both yourselves and others - Those who enter the Beta should be aware that it will change often and your characters/stashes etc. will probably be wiped a few times during the Beta (due to changes) - Give GGG a chance to show us what they've accomplished with all there hard work these last 2 years: content, net code, etc... They've given us all a F2P game and it's been better than most P2P games released in the last 5 years. If you've been around PoE for more than a year, you should be accustomed to changes, OP builds being adjusted, new OP builds being created, etc... If this isn't your cup of tea, then why have you stuck around? The reason is: It's a great game, and each time changes occur, the game is still great...just different, but still great. I hope that those who doubt the upcoming expansion, and the changes that will undoubtedly ensue, will be patient enough to at least give it a chance when it's released. If you still feel like the game isn't "good/great" anymore, please leave a detailed feedback as to why you feel that way, and perhaps come back 6 months later when *new* changes/adjustments/leagues/content have been introduced. there is no TL:DR, thank you to those that took the time to read my post. Sincerely, Josephoenix |

" It's like my old girlfriend to whom I was faithful because she gave me what I wanted stopped doing so and justifies it by putting on some new makeup. What she doesn't realize is that there are younger, more attractive girls out there. |

Chris was asked in an interview if he thinks that this could break the game. He answered "probably, I don´t know". This means, there are major changes, which will affect the complete game. And in my opinion in a good way. I just hope I didn´t invest in the wrong gear in the early past, as well as I´m glad currently people are not buying so much stuff from my shop. As the prices for many Uniques will definitely increase. On the other hand some items might as well go down in the price. That´s just the way it goes.
I think this is a good start for new players, who are not that familiar with the game or its mechanics, or with the tree itself. Everyone will now have to put more efforts in creating a good, viable build, if it is MF, DPS, whatever. I hope I´ll get picked soon, as my Bday is on Thursday and I got Thursday and Friday days off of work (vacation days), and I wished I could play then, when my guests are gone, as well as the complete weekend. https://www.twitch.tv/ston3cold3 Last edited by Stone__Cold#7937 on Apr 20, 2015, 9:40:41 AM
