Increasing horisontal field of view in PoE
This fix is amazing, sick of playing with crappy 3 feet in front vision, if only GGG could implement a better zoom by default wouldn't have to resort to this.

" I hope you read the NVIDIA warning when you try to add custom monitor profiles. Monitors don't support every single resolution out there, and they certainly won't support custom resolutions that are not standard. Here are all of the common resolutions: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_common_resolutions Note that some are not common to monitors, but specific, proprietary devices. If you truly want this sort of extended field of view, I'd recommend... 1.) PoE Options: Set your game client to window mode 2.) PoE Options: Lock your mouse cursor to your game client window 3.) Set your desktop background to solid black 4.) Set your taskbar to autohide 5.) Move all of your icons away from the top and bottom. That's about the best you're going to get with what you already have. As for this thread, I've only skimmed through some of it, but I see little conversation about how this stretches objects at the edge of that field of view. I used to run triple-monitors for gaming, and many games years ago had issues with this. Some worked just fine. So this extended field of view is really there to support super-wide gaming resolutions such as triple monitors. But let me give you my experience: I got tired of stretched and warped objects at the left and right edges of the screen. I went back to a single monitor. Quite happy playing PoE on a 16:10 2560x1600 monitor. Also, I'm happy with the zoom level. If I could scroll out further, I would, just to see mobs sooner. But then I'd miss out on the nice view of my character, battle animations, etc. If we could zoom out as far as say a modded TL2 client, then that really weakens the overall enjoyment of PoE. Sure, you see mobs faster and it gives you more time to plan, but it also decreases the fun. Well... it at least decreases it for me. Happy with the slightly more zoomed in camera of PoE. ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ ▒▒▒▒░░░░░ cipher_nemo ░░░░░▒▒▒▒ │ Waggro Level: ♠○○○○ │ 1244 ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ Last edited by cipher_nemo on Nov 10, 2015, 7:34:45 PM

Oh, I thought this was common knowledge by now. It was a real lifesaver back in the day with killer reflect and Lightning Thorns! Today I prefer being able to read stuff without squinting my eyes though.
I would definitely support that you can zoom out a bit farther though. PoE feels claustrophobic in the modern day and age. PoE needs better social features... and more cats!

This has made me very jelly of 21:9 players.
