Increasing horisontal field of view in PoE

Or we can allow anyone to zoom out to an acceptable far out view if they wish too because it's annoying to see it so close to your character at times.

the issue with the zoom is it doesn't just zoom directly in/out, its on a kinda parabolic curve or something so if you could zoom out further than you can now, you'd have a top down view which zoomed even further would make it go inverted (kidding, somewhat).

I play it 3/4 vertical distance since I like to have other stuff running that I keep an eye on (non-poe related). Also I just don't like the game in full screen, its entirely too close. I feel like im playing in 800x600 resolution.

Been using 1920x800 for months now and tried 1080p today. Oh god with the 1080 PoE looks so shitty.

Personally, I didn't know this.

Secondly, you don't need a weird ratio monitor to make use of this. The OP explicitly states you can do this on a 1920x1080 monitor at the expense of unused screen space.

Ohhh the beauty of this game on a 34" 21:9 ratio 3440 x 1440 monitor. Don't forget that you may need to bump in an additional graphics card to run the game and monitor without some rendering hiccups which do occur with a single card running a monitor in that format. Nothing wrong with someone discussing a work around to a very costly monitor option IMO.

But it is a beauty lol.

I don't get why people even consider a special monitor just for this.

I hope everyone realizes if you play in windowed mode, you can just drag the borders around on the fly while the game is running and it resizes automatically.

I just realized I've resized it to more or less match Diablo2 sized characters lol

Try the 21:9 ratio, and you never wanna go back, rangers and clearspeed is nice!
Cheesing could also benefit from this one :-)
