Thanks for the updates. I suppose if people are finding the amulets then I'll keep them in the post. I just thought it was odd that no one has posted any recently, perhaps they weren't being found. I guess everyone is hoarding their uniques lately, heh.
As for shields.. I'm not sure if it's still the same now but it used to be 36% block chance was the highest for non-unique shields. That's 30% base with a 20% quality boost. Crest of Perandus is the highest block shield as far as I know. It has 30% base + 10% bringing it to 40% and then 20% quality brings it to 48%. |

" In theorie the highest block chanse you can get is 75% because its capped at 75%. You do need a shitload of passives to get that (and possibly tempest shield) Life is pleasant. Death is peaceful. It's the transition that's troublesome.

"Tough? A Ranger can achieve 75% block at around lvl 40ish without using that unique or tempest shield. 75% is not tough by any means if you're building for it. For a Shadow.. it's more difficult than a Ranger, but still doable. "Yes, uniques have an /itemlevel just like any other item that can get mods. And yes, an item's /itemlevel affects how many sockets it can have. I'm not sure it's known exactly what level for each amount of sockets though.. You can try and do some research on the forum but you won't come across a definitive answer. I did read somewhere where Chris stated that he thinks 6 sockets has to be /itemlevel 50. " I didn't say that it would be impossible, just a bit difficult, because you have to go in parts of tree, where you weren't go if you don't seach max block ;) Of course you have shield block nodes that are really strong on dex part of tree (3-4% each) and they allow to have high chance of block in endgame without that unique. But for the first 30-40lvl this is a really good shield to use if you want high block, without focusing on it too much. |
