What could you do with this build with some more currency to make it more HC viable?
Any way to use CoD? Maybe get the aura nodes?
What other gear would u change with great budget? Or what to change in skill tree?

I'm liking the feel of this build but feel CoD would be a great addition, but can't use with more than 3 aura?


With great budget and CoD I would get Doryani's Catalyst and Doriani's Invitation (lightning version of course), also 6-link the Cloak and run quality Life Leech and change the tree to get Vaal Pact. Then go crit and just DESTROY everything!!!!

I will post a SC crit version of this build soon (next weekend maybe) ... got a lot of requests on stream regarding a crit-tree.

What about using divinarius and carcass jack with the build? I guess getting 5 blue sockets on carcass would be a pain. But what do you think would be other downsides in using these items?

5B on a Carcass is actually not that hard, http://siveran.github.io/calc.html says the chance with self-chroming is 2% and you get it on an average of 50 chromes (with a deviation of another 50, so lets say 100).

Divinarius sounds like a solid option but I would go crit instead of non-crit then to get more potential out of it. Which reminds me I still have to post a SC crit version ... coming soon ;)

I am doing a version of this build. I don't see why the 2 +30 dex nodes are needed what am i missing?

Some of the gems have a pretty high Dex requirement. You can compensate them with dex on gear and save one or even both nodes for something else.

Since I'm always poor I usually don't plan for GG gear and in this build I'm choosing Life>Resist>Cast Speed>Mana>Stats as order of preferred affixes.

Nice idea, i was having fun levelling with ball lightning when i got my 2 totems storm call (plan is to freeze whole screen) get me to level 70... then i got bored and missed my ball lightning.

I really like your build, but my witch is already crit based, what would you sugest me to change in the tree to make it viable ? Also i could wait the next skill tree reset but the bandit are crit oriented and i dont want to waste regret.

I will get a pyre soon.

I see, thank you. Another question instead of going the upper circle in the shadow part for Shock and the lightning damage, what do you think about going the middle part for 5% more freeze? also i made another minor change to the tree to get 18% more spell damage but cost 1 more point. what do you think? it will affect the leveling path but i think it is worth it.

1. I would choose Lightning Damage over chance to freeze since you already have 30% chance. Ball Lightning hits CRAZY fast, especially with the 31% increased cast speed from the tree + extra cast speed from faster casting, spell echo and items ... you really don't need more freeze chance! You rather want more DAMAGE and that has to come from LIGHTNING damage

2. I also don't think 18% increased (not more!) spell damage for one more point are worth it. The tree provides 69% increased spell damage, 16% increased elemental damage with spells. 86% increased elemental damage and 115% increased lightning damage. This adds up to into 286% increased ball lightning damage (since it's all additive) which means your Ball Lightning deals 386% of its base damage. If you add another 18% you increase the damage by only 4.6% ... it is however better than 4% increased cast speed which would result in ~2.3% increased damage. If I was you I would spend the point into AOE - this is what Ball Lightning benefits most from.

PS: Dunno if I did the calculations 100% right, I'm not the best with this stuff...
