[1.3] The Return of the Frozen Orb Sorc | Budget Three Dragons Ball Lightning Freezer

Build guide updated and now pretty much complete.

changelog:

• added skill tree for a crit version of the build (you'll find it below the progression image)
• added recommendations for quality gems (which ones are good etc...)
• added some more options in the item section
• added the reflect topic

Just want to say not to forget that increase area will affect ball lightning but not increase area dmg. I'm think about using the crit version with a Carcass Jack.

Yeah, that's right. It's still worth the points. Having enough AoE on Ball Lightning will make the difference between shooting in two lanes or just one lane when you want to clear two packs next to each other.

I'm doing very well for now, i have added a curse on hit setup with herald of thunder so i dont need to manually cast the curse. Working on the tree to get the dual curse for the glove. Gems need a lot of leveling. I also use vaal spark to melt down bosses. All resist are 75 except chaos.

Pyre reduced my mana regen a lot compared to
so i will have to change the tree a little. Wondering what i will change ice spear for since i dont need it to generate power charge anymore thanks to the curse setup.

Awesome to hear - I'm thinking more and more I will try the crit version when A4 hits as my first SC character...

You mentioned getting vaal pact if you had a 6 link cloak. I was wondering what you would change in the tree to grab vaal pact? I'm level 89 and my tree is the exact same as your final non crit version. I'm using carcass jack with a life leech as the 6th gem. I also am using Doryani's Catalyst, Doriani's Invitation, and corrupted Asenath's with elemental weakness on hit. Also this build is lots of fun, thanks so much for making it!

Wow, congrats on the gear, I'm a bit jelly I must say :D

And getting Vaal Pact is easier said then done - here's a non-crit tree that might work for level 92: http://poeurl.com/zfWd2UH

Got to Level 75 with this build. Has been working great! Thanks again for the guide. I haven't done any quests in A3 Merciless yet, so I got the double Curse Node right as I got 75... gotta say, easiest 73 Map ever, and could have easily gone higher. Gear posted below.
