Kickstarter Campaign for PoE's Optional Self Found League!

Nice to hear from some old timers in here (hey kolp!). I wonder if it's natural to become more anti-trade the longer you play the game (it certainly was the case with me - I was avidly pro trade in the early days)?

I'd love to know where Ventor, AXN and some of the trade heavies actually come out on this topic - I mean, in terms of whether they'd *enjoy* playing PoE more in a pure SFL given they basically have unlimited resources in Standard...

C - what's your opinion as to why Chris and Qarl are so anti an optional SFL? Is it really a philosophical view that you can already self-found in the existing leagues, or is it deeper or more business-oriented than that?

But jokes about business aside (see what I did there?) - I do wonder if the theory of Chris' vision for PoE and the reality of what it's like to play the game these days have diverged. I'm just asking the question, I'm sure they have lots of sources of formal and informal feedback - these forums being just one source.

they should try it though, actually testing their product themselves would give them a good perspective on balancing and design, rather than hearing this stuff from their testers who just simply say that "it can be done" or "its balanced" without factoring in desync, itemization, economy, drop rates and actual difficulty.
