You made me think of something...

why doesnt the skill progress like Arc

level 1: 1 random element
lvl2: 1 random element + 10% chance of a second one
lvl3:1 random element + 20% chance of a second one
....
level 10: 2 random elements + 10% chance of a third one
...
lvl 20: all 3 elementals are part of the hit

balance the Elemental flat damage progression

and bam you have and awesome Elemental Hit skill mechanic

from all the things i say that might sound gimmicky/weird/chimeric, this looks like to be the most logical lol
ZiggyD is the Labyrinth of streamers, some like it, some dont, but GGG will make sure to push it down ur throat to make you like it

Also, the history of EH is interesting


1.0.0 Increased the mana cost. Damage progression past level 1 has been reduced.
0.10.0 Is now player level 19 (was 2) and has had its damage reduced, especially at high levels.
0.9.2 Reduced the mana cost.
0.9.1 Increased damage at higher levels.

Looks like GGG themselves are not quite sure how the damage/ mana ratio should be.

Just checked the tree. There's a lot of elemental damage nodes. Requires you to walk all over the place, though, to get them all.

imho All elemental damage nodes should be rare or hard to reach and specificly placed

they should be the Bud of a 3 element tree but only reachable by pathing that tree

a bit like templar's but shouldnt be reachable from the other side

this. the skill is pretty good, you just cant use it because of its mana cost^^

Anger and wrath nerf was unnecessary imho after that, you hardly see ele builds now.

and playing in a party the phys build still profits a lot from getting buffed by hatred and wrath => phys is even better in party than ele.

To get crit, especially most melee crit nodes are combined or at least near phys dmg nodes so...
They could make the attack do tri-elemental damage per swing like ''vengeance'' skill from the d2 paladin. It was an awesome single target attack although no-one used it because hammerdins ruled all.

as a unique oncept i would like to see it changed to a suport role based on atributes:
elemental hit:
200% mana
add str * 0.15 +0.02*lv as fire damage
add agi * 0.15 +0.02*lv as lighting damage
add int * 0.15 +0.02*lv as cold damage

quality: 1% = 1% weapon elemental damage



another option could be an attack skill that actualy benefit from slow weapons more than it does from fast attacking weapons

elemental hit
10*lv increased weapon elemental damage
each attack reduce weapon elemental damage by 5% for 3 secs, can stack multiple times.

1% quality: 1% less attack speed and 1% more weapon elemental damage.

First try to Build it, then come Back.


After Reading the 4 Pages of "opinions" here, i know that 90% of you Guys, only googled the Gem on Wiki.

And on Wiki the Manacost and everything else is outdated as Fuck.


Ele Hit is viable and not even expensive to Build.


You dont know how? Well, thats not a Reason to bitch about a working Gem.


Bitch about Shieldcharge or so, thats one of the uselesst Gems.
