The trailer is quite eye-catching, I'll give you that. Personally, I don't think we should be bashing it. It's obvious the devs put a lot of time and effort into making it look good. There were a lot of things that could be seen from the trailer that would be cool to see in Path of Exile. If I worked at GGG, I would study the game and incorporate the best aspects of it into POE.

Im sorry to be dickish about this but im so glad you or someone that shares your tastes in games don't make design choices and art style decisions at GGG. Id be long gone.

I've grown cynical to pretty graphics. There was a time were there was a correlation between polishing and actual quality of the games, but that ended like seven years ago.

I guess you just want to be a dick. I never even suggested that POE should change art styles. Some of the stuff I'd like to see in POE which that game has are more responsive attacks where enemies really get pushed around where you can feel the damage happening, big bosses that fill up the screen, ripping parts off an enemy and they keep fighting, etc.

Not all the skills are like that though. They're probably showcasing signature skills that use a charge up animation bar just for the trailer :)
