POE on console?
The only game that the new consoles can manage to run flawlessly is minecraft. Too bad it will be exclusive to the xbone.
Kick Ass and Chew Bubblegum - That's nature for you.

" Now tell me how you could aim to an (X,Y) point at the screen with the same accuracy a mouse does. |

" Doesn't have to be same accuracy, just to have be sufficiently well. It is not a renowned e-sports where equal ground conditions is mandatory for the competitive integrity. Any (X,Y) point can be represented in polar coordinates (r,φ) where r can go from 0 to infinity and φ goes from 0 to 2π. φ can easily and smooothly be connected to the direction of the left stick. r can be connected to a bar whose traveling speed depends on how strongly you press the stick in a certain direction. Of course, you can allow the user to have shortcuts to some distances, like example r = 2 distance units, r = 10 distance units, for the sake of quick leap slamming. Regular movement and fixing direction the character is facing is like mentioned earlier, handled by the right stick similar to how WASD-movement works in other games. " The problem is not designing a bijective function, because obviously cartesian coordinates can bijectively translate into polar ones, the problem is that right now we click where we want to do something (WYSIWYG= What You See Is What You Get), and with a controller we need to make an equivalence controller-screen that it's not always immediate: ![]() Will it be excessive or will it fall short? In other words, with your polar radius implementation, the game could turn a bit less playable. Examples:

![]() ![]() Do you feel like you can easily Leap Slam into a safe place at the 1st picture while using a controller? Do you feel like you can easily Leap Slam into the tiny green arrow area at the second? Console adaptation turned D3 Demon Hunter into "run around while only planting turrets". It'd be sad the same happening here. Look at this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n6zy0DjqI5k |

" Would need a proper implementation of the speed at which the "bar" moves depending on how "hard" you press the stick, then hours of practice, but by then yes, sure given those two conditions I would be confident to leap slam there. This message was delivered by GGG defence force.

" People are having a hard time fighting Atziri without being touched, even with hours of practice. I believe that embedding a Wii-Sports-Golf game inside every movement would require more than just hours of practice. Also, I believe that a game like this should never have such degree of combat complexity. This is a click-click-click game. You lose that feeling on a controller. |

this game has been crafted around the use of a mouse.

" All Super Mario 3D games for controllers were based on jumps and movement in 3 dimensions, which shows that "platform games" where movement to reach specific coordinates with controllers, is very much doable and can feel great. Never played wii golf, so I can't judge its control implementation. Of course someone that has little experience with 360 degrees movement with sticks will have a harder time adjusting to such movement scheme than people who've had a lot of experience with such from other games. "The click-click-click" part of the game is not an integral part of the game, it is not a necessary condition for being an action rpg. And yes, when converting it to a controller scheme, the "click click click" feeling should be removed. This message was delivered by GGG defence force. " That justs says that a company that focuses on pc gaming does badly when designing control schemes for consoles, why is anyone suprised? This message was delivered by GGG defence force.

No one knew D3 was coming out for console. I was the first to post it on the forums... Blizzard mods deleted it immediately. So I sneaked in another thread, it passed the mods eye of Sauron. People called it blasphemy, they would quit... Etc. Sooo many negative comments. Year and a half later bam they announced it.
