Another Stash Tab Bundle weekend .... Sigh !!!

I agree with the OP. I, too, read that statement by Chris awile back and am baffled why this has not been rectified. I have not bought any new tabs since and won't unless it is fixed. Why some of you long time forum trolls are so concerned with how others keep their stash when Chris and GGG are not is beyond me. How bout stop trying to dictate your approach on others. Better yet, how bout stop posting in every damn thread created. Or will that trouble your self worth?

What is there to fix? its working as intended. Either clean them out and then buy more so you get empty fresh tabs or buy new ones and you dont have to move stuff because you can buy out the remove only tabs.
I still don't get the problem.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

Not surprised.

Except if you define "as intended" as the way GGG said it should work, and the way it worked when the stash tabs in question were created.

Intended by who exactly?

Also, GGG, preferably Chris since he is on record for stating this:

Saying they're not really concerned that people are doing something doesn't mean that that is the INTENDED use for it. They were clearly INTENDED to be used as a temporary way to hold items that were transferred from another league until the player could organize their stash and make room for them in normal tabs. That statement you keep quoting doesn't contradict that and say that they intended them to be used as long-term storage. Nor does it in any way imply that using them that way won't cause any problems. It just says basically, "We're aware that people are doing it and don't give a fuck if they do." It's not against any rules or anything, but that doesn't mean it's some divine right you have to use them that way.

It is, however, our "right" that when we purchase something (new stash tabs) that they be delivered to us in the same condition they were purchased (empty). That is the issue. If they want us to only use the transfer tabs as temp tabs there are other ways to go about it.

E: It is also slightly unethical. It is a bait and switch. You think you are buying an empty stash tab but in reality you are buying a temp tab that is now a permanent tab. Poor business practice.

This is a problem.

When ladders end i want to keep some stuff , why can't i keep it in a remove only tab till i need it . Let me hord for crying out load ( also legacy items are a thing so having items you may want down the road in remove only tabs only makes sence )

I will not be buying any more tabs till this is changed
Just a sec let me grab a beer...@#*@ Ok how did I die this time

Learn the rules, it's the only way to exploit them.
My own story:
ambush was the only challenge league i played so far;
at the end of the league, despite a lot of tab management, my tabs were all full;
i was going to sort them out and merge, and bought a tab bundle when the league ended;
even tho i did it before the change was even announced, my new tabs already got filled,
and instead of 6 empty tabs i got 6 full ones;
this made me (a) unable to do the merge, and (b) angry at GGG;
it took me a week to sort out only a few of the remove only tabs;
i still have many of my ambush tabs as remove only,
and probably will never merge them, unless i can spend another week
just on the merge, without actually playing the game.

POE is a game about items.
Hoarding is an integral part of building your account's overall power.
Unless you rely purely on trading, and only keep the currencies.

The current situation is bad.
Although the stash tabs converted are not random (they are internally ordered),
in practice order of conversion is unpredictable.
Ability to choose which tabs are converted would be a good enough solution for me too.

So far i also feel like not wanting to buy any more stash tabs.
except that i just don't have a choice;
despite being very organized, i now require more stash space,
and i am dreaded of what is coming
(a lot of hard work on the converted tabs before they are useful again).

And when i am forced to do something with a feeling of not having a real choice,
i ... don't like it very much ... so to speak

You know what I'd like to see to get people to get their Sh*T together?

A timer.
If your remove only tab is not cleared within X days, it is deleted.

To be fair, it should be listed as something like 2 - 4 weeks.
If you cannot organize all your stuff by then, it deserves to be lost.

You will see people scramble real quick.

Naw dude. Naw.
