Lvl 77, out of maps, Back to docks? yea right

What exactly is wrong with the last boss dropping a 66 map? No one has explained how this could be a problem or do anything but make people happy.

You're almost 20 levels over docks with no loot penalties there. Put on mass quantity gear and start farming. Guaranteed orbs/maps.

It's a problem because for starters, taking the RNG out of a RNG game is, odd. Two, vendor recipe.

All that would happen is people would cluelessly roll those 66 maps, not get enough 67's & 68's and then start demanding a guaranteed way to get those as well because they hit another brick wall where 66's give them no xp. Any thread where people actually try and help & tell people the best ways to use their maps efficiently just gets drowned in an ocean of qq about drop rates.

XP and progression needs to slow down at some point and it's neither here nor there if that happens due to out-leveling content at lvl61 or lvl66.

The game would have more of an issue of there were no map system at all.....at least here we have content that has it's own set of challenges to obtain AND also to complete.

Just make 66 maps buyable at vendor. Don't lock people from content. It doesn't mean you'll find the higher level maps from that map, but at least it keeps you going.

Then people would complain that they need to farm Docks for currency orbs in order to buy maps from the vendor. :p

White map drop from the last boss seems a good idea. And it DOESN'T make the game any easier - it just allows characters of high level to do what high level chars are supposed to be doing. Nobody likes to go back 15 levels ago to faceroll-farm areas for almost ZERO benefit. However, the possibility exists, so people that like the farming can do it at their leisure.

My additional idea is to introduce a daily quest system for people lvl 66+. The quests would not have to be easy of course. If completed, the reward would be a map.
Questing I suppose would be OK with everybody.
