The Mathil Tornado/Puncture Spec - Cheap Uber Atziri Viable

Yea, the only way I see puncture still being viable is if you spec into Bloodletting. It just feels super weak now without it.

So... Since puncture is nerfed, what should we switch it to? Obviously TS is weaker too, so do we have to switch to ice shot full time?

I've specced into Bloodletting, at least till the more damage on Puncture is fixed (as it indeed appears to have remained the same).

I've lost about 2K (while on 4 Power Charges (at 80% Critical Chance with them) of Tornado DPS and about 5K Puncture DPS.

Still kicks arse though.

EDIT: Just did Zana's lvl 74 Shipyard with Vulnerability and Elemental Weakness. Still walk in the park, as expected.

To expand on that - just facetanked Gravicius with Puncture (total 3% life leech).

Since I play self-found, I am more vulnerable to nerfs. I don't have decent gear so even 20% damage decrease would cost me.
I was burned in the previous patch that rendered my EK build useless, so I rather not use up my reset points sub-optimally. I might have to watch from the sidelines until everyone else sort out the best setup... Good luck, everyone.

to lose that much you woulda had to have like 50k TS and over 100k puncture, so uhh not thinking you're in too bad of shape anyway

had 59.7k tornado 154k puncture now 46k torn 122k punctue that's before the 4 pcoc

I am doing 73 - 74 maps with almost any affix (save for the usual combos of reflects and low/no regen) with (from memory, may be off by a few hundreds in DPS department):

3K life, 9.5K TS, 18K Puncture

What do you really have to complain about with stats so superior to mine? That you can't one shot 78s?

Try to look on the bright side: it's much harder to kill yourself on physical reflects now.

With 60K TS, there was no doubt - physical reflect was instagib, for sure. I sometimes get to 40% (so 1800 is taken from life) with 10 - 12K TS.

If not, again, I'd like to see the gear.
