Torchlight like Vendoring pet. Fits POE or Gamebreaking?

Note:Lets put aside the combat part, in POE pets arent involve in combat.

For those who dont know, In Torchlight you start with a pet companion that has a small inventory. You can put whatever you want in that inventory and then send the pet to vendor those things.

If it fits POE, i think the best mechanic Vendoring pets would need those rules to fit it perfectly:
1.1) Pets have a 4x4 inventory at start
1.2)inventory increases to 4x2 from cruel quest and 4x8 from merciless quest
2)Vendor recipes dont work
3)pet traveling time is 1min minimum+ based on how full the inv is (ie:1min+ 2sec per used slot)
4)Maximum 1 pet trip per map per player
5)Everybody can get a pet from a quest (A2 most likely since its the act with the most boring rewards), the crappy ones that cost 5-20pts

6)Mtx pets dont have an inventory until that quest is completed

if ever ggg went the torchlight way, they have to implement fishing too

I'll go with "meh". The idea of another layer of inventory management doesn't thrill me. All I would use it for is to vendor blues that I would normally leave to rot. That would increase my Trans Orbs a bit and those would just have to be traded up to alts and on to higher orbs. More work for not much reward. So... meh.

There is fishing
You can fish by using a Fishing gem on a fishing rod

prob is that Fishing gem is RNG guardedhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZDIDtzdBm0

please don't go there, op

i know about fishing and dare not think it would come true
In torchlight the point is you have to trade off between having your pet around to fight along side you vs to vendor stuff. If the pet is only going to have one function then it isn't very interesting.

I'd rather they add a scroll of vendoring that just instantly turns an item into its sale value.
When I kill a man he stays dead.
I want my Kiwi to have a backpack. Could make it drag on the floor behind it when the bag is full. I will buy any supporter pack that gives me this.

I always loved the idea of Torchlight having the 2nd inventory and sending pets to town during fights. What if they added only some sort of "auto salvage" inventory for pets? For items that sell for direct orbs, like the RGB for Chromes or 6s for jewellers. You couldn't put any items in there since as Shagsbeard said, it would just mean picking up more blues, but it would make it easier to not have to go to town 4 times per map since you picked up 10 RGB 2handed weapons that take up too much space. (yes I know the obvious solution is to stop picking up everything but I don't have that kind of wealth).

the tradeoff would be to not have acces to vendor recipes
and it would still be a better reward than all those rare items reward

its a reward that sticks to your character

Not going to happen as long as pets are only available in the shop since it would fall under the "no pay to win" policy. And yeah, even if it's more on the "pay for convenience" side of things. ;-) :-)
Pets from quest rewards would be cool, but I wouldn't expect this to happen.
