[2.1 Ghazzy - Summoner Guides] Low Budget Builds

Glad to see you are still keeping up with this build and answering questions. I am currently playing it in the 1-month flashback league and I am enjoying it. Was wondering what kind of flasks you would use for general mapping and for atziri, lemme know maybe! :)

Hey guys,

Just wanted to do a gear check. Currently I am level 84 and getting through every map within minutes. I spend more time checking loot afterwards than that I am clearing the map.

So I tried Atziri and got insta hit at the trio. The tittie bitch is constantly 1 shotting me.
I have around 2500 life and 2800 ES. I can't run discipline because I do not have the amount of mana to run it.

Spoiler

They, your effective HP feels rather low, you should always aim to kill the ranged titty bitch first, you do this with the use of Vaal Haste and proper pre-casting. And with proper pre-casting I'm not only refering to the SRS, you should place a Vaal Summon Skeletons on the bottom corner to distract the flamestriker & attacks from her & Qurai whilst your SRS kills her off first!

Of course man!
I wouldn't be aiming for fulltime streaming again without keeping my forum threads up to date. Thats why I am updating this thread instead of making new threads all the time. Makes it easier to maintain and easier for others to get back in to it!

Depends on the build really, if you are using hybrid build with more focus on ES i'd only use 1 regenerating HP flask for example and smack in utility like quicksilver, ruby, topaz, granite. If i run lots of life id use 3 life flasks, 2 seething (instant poppers) 1 regenerating, 1 granite 1 quicksilver, and i'd change the granite for Ruby vs Atziri and make sure i dodge the lightning stuffs :)

Hey Ghazzy, enjoying the SRS build so far, but I have a few questions/concerns.

1. My survivability feels low. I have around 4.8k ES and 1.4k unreserved life (75/75/76/14 res), but sometimes I feel like if I get hit once (haast in particular is causing problems), I get stunned/frozen and die, since life flasks are unable to save me. I've taken to using a vaal discipline and using it before difficult encounters, and it's helping to some extent, but if I'm taken by surprise then I'm still screwed. Below is my gear and passive tree (gonna grab EE next level, then finish the sovereignty wheel and grab the chaos res)
Spoiler

The gem setup is unfinished. I plan to add desecrate and an arc totem when I get a new chest piece and 6S it. The gloves are temporary until I can grab some ones with the specific things I need. I'm going to try and get some dex, chaos res, ES&, and potentially some strength out of my jewellery (to drop physique), so my gloves choice isn't so restricted.

2. You seem to be running clarity on mana, and discipline on life. Why is that? Shouldn't you be reserving as little life possible? With haste/discipline/hatred on mana (clarity on life), I still have 203 mana unreserved, so I don't see the problem. The only time I have mana issues is when picking up an echoing shrine. https://poe.mikelat.com/#9YjV75/jG6M6b/n-vc (I was able to do it before the pledge, too).

3. With my gear/passives above, would you say I'm ready for atziri? I'd like higher chaos res first, so I don't get wrecked by the trio. I also need to level a couple extra vaal hastes.

4. Would it be viable to switch to an alpha's howl, allowing you to run everything on mana (the res works out), stick Clarity/Discipline/Haste/Golem in the helm (since Clar/Disc scale best off levels), and then go CI? It'd let you ignore chaos res, ultimately getting more ES on the remaining gear. You could grab the nodes behind CI, which would more than make up for the loss of a helmet (+2 on discipline goes some way to help, too). It stops you getting frozen, which can be a problem on such a low health pool, and, of course, chaos immunity is always nice.

This is more of a theorycraft for the future rather than something I'm considering right now. Perhaps I'll try it out when the leagues merge.

All that aside, loving the build so far. Feels great.

Hey, let me see if i can quickly respond before my time runs out!

1) The build requires careful playstyle as any type of SRS build are usually glasscannons unless you make a fully HP invested version of it.
ES on gloves seems a bit low, however, you shouldn't be in a problematic situation with the build as you are hiding behind a massive wall of meatshields whilst your SRS are killing everything off, a tip would be to use Spell Totem + Summon Skeletons for map clearing and use the Arc for bosses with EE later. This increases your defensiveness a lot.
When it comes to Beyond bosses such as Haast, he is insanely tough when your DPS isn't killing him fast enough. I would personally avoid him until i feel comfortable dropping his ass with a Vaal Haste.

2) The aura you decide to reserv on life or mana is up to you, the difference is very small in the end :)

3) I would recommend higher chaos res first due to the trash before and chaos pools in trio-boss hurts a lot. As long as you know what you're doing and are fully prepared you ll be fine at this point i believe :)

4) Switching to Alphas howl would open up the possibility of using Generosity Anger as well which is a great addition to the build but you would lose eHP which can be scary at points. I am not a big fan of CI Summoners at all, for me its either full HP or ES or Hybrid.

Cheers man, i hope my assistance will help you out!

Had a chance to notice this today. Geez, they are so weak now. Not only they seem to have lost a ton of DPS, but their health pool has been significantly lowered as well.

GGG listen to players' cries that A4 is too difficult, forgetting about other players that base themselves around those monsters for their builds (which are far from overpowered when compared to the current meta).

They are still apeshit crazy strong at 5L and 6L, however, at 4L the Flame Sentinels are actually better no matter the aura setup from my testing.

Running them in
with overall >200% increased minion damage and >140% increased minion life. They were gold before the A4 nerf. They're mostly bronze now, if you get the irony.

PS. Innervate > Lightning Penetration. Why? Normally they get 0% chance to shock, while w/ innervate they shock almost every time, dealing much higher damage to monsters than if you had lightning pen equipped. Just for everyone's info. :)

Hey Ghazzy. I did some tinkering and managed to get up to 6.5k ES and 39% chaos res, and I'm hopefully gonna try atziri today or tomorrow, but I have one last concern. In your build you recommend Melee Damage On Full Life instead of melee splash for Atziri, but surely you're never actually full life, due to reserving an aura on it?

If it doesn't work, then would added fire be the next best option (in a pledge)? I can't afford a level 3 empower, and I assume a level 2 one wouldn't be as good as added fire. Added fire, fire penetration, and increased duration seem like the 3 best options atm. Assuming the spirits survive their full duration, ID would give 264/190 of the original damage (39% more damage), which is 5% less than added fire, however you would be dealing more physical damage, which isn't resisted, so I'm not sure how the maths works out.
