Act 4 - Passive Points, Level Cap, Maps oh my!

I'd like to see Normal's topend levels increased with the new act and Cruel's lowend decreased accordingly and balanced to that respect. And so on, Cruel's topend taken from Merciless' lowend. The new act in Merciless could max at 71, giving the end boss a chance to drop 74 maps.

I also think a Bandit-esque rewards could be in the new act, maybe one skill point. Not too much to throw off the meta, maybe a reward that added an additional affix to your stat of choice. 25 int now also increases your Damage effectiveness by 1%.

I vote for act 4 in paralel with act 1 of next difficulty, plus lower level map drop.
Maybe can they remove difficulties? The whole many difficulties thing is mostly a tradition that doesn't make any sense. You can hate Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls all you want, but the adventure mode is a good idea.

And...elemental resistances should be reworked too. Specially if a difficulty is eliminated. It's possible to be almost invincible right now, and get bored with content. It shouldn't be that way. Power creep, trivialization, yabba dabba.

The thing no one asked yet: how and when would you access the eternal laboratory if there is a fourth act?

one of the dogmas ggg put up when describing their game in closed beta was to never destroy a player's effort.

So much for that dogma. The thousands of broken builds that were sabotaged by all the monkeywrenching with the Skill Tree laid that futile gesture to rest long ago.

If Cruel is removed with the advent of Act 4, that would pretty much balance the difficulty progression of the game. Since Normal Act 4 will no doubt be even tougher than Normal Dominus, it would then lead seamlessly into Merciless Act 1.
