How do you play PoE?
Here are the pics I was talking about. These are not mine, I forgot to take the pics at home; but these are the exact same products.
Nostromo Setup
![]() Notes: - Buttons 15, 10, 4, 2, and 6 are where the fingers of my left hand naturally lay. - I use button 5 by manually assigning whatever aura to it that I need to apply at the time, so if I am using a build running 3 auras then I will set one, apply it, set the next, apply it and then set the last and apply it. - The pots change depending on the build/situation, but the emergency pot is usually the one I need to spam the most. - I have Alt assigned to show me item comparison when looking at stuff for upgrades in game - I'm sure the other buttons do stuff too, but I never use them so I dont remember what they are set as.
Mouse Setup
![]() Notes: - The center mouse wheel is only used as a MMB - The 'horizontal' mouse wheel scrolls both ways and is set to do different things depending on the direction of scroll - If I am using an attack skill that I ALWAYS hold shift to attack with then I will set up the LMB as the Main Attack. This is usually reserved for ranged attacks and Reave. I also have a Razer Blackwidow Ultimate, but I got that after the Nostromo, so I have not yet found a need to set up the designated macro keys. Always the same
Lmb Move Rmb Single target Q Some support skill (usually vaal/skellies) W Totem E AoE skill R Curse If I deviate from that I usually end up making a mess of it. edit: That mouse looks like a spaceship. Mine only has two measly buttons. We tested it extensively Last edited by Icholas#7287 on Jun 13, 2014, 2:32:13 AM

" This is the best mouse ever. The thing is so customizable. the part that rests under your palm actually extends out much firther than shown here ofr bigger hands. Plus there is another attachment on the right side to rest your pinky on and it swings out as well. There are also weights inside that you can remove to make it lighter/heavier depending on what you like. I'm not usre about the legality of posting links to stuff, but if you want to google it look up R.A.T. 7 mouse. There is also a 3,5, and 9. 3 and 5 have less features, 9 is the exact same as the 7 but wireless. There is an MMO version of the 7 and 9 as well that includes a few additional buttons (I think) and some special software but AFAIK it is software for WOW only. Exile

I have a CyberSnipa gamepad (4 years old or something) that I use for most games, it's like an extension for your keyboard but with keys placed in a more ergonomical way.
I'll try to use QWERTY layout in my explanation here, hope I got them right. Right mouse button : main skill A : Culling skill if applicable S : Support skill D : Movement utility skill (Leap Slam, Whirling blades, ...) if I'm playing a non-bow character. F and G : Spots for aura's and other buffs E : Panick skill like Summon Skeletons Q : Mana flask or anti-curse healing flask W : Instant healing pot (anti-bleeding mostly) SPACEBAR : Big healing potion Mouse Thumb button 1 : Quicksilver flask Mouse Thumb button 2 : Granite/Jade/Topaz... flask N (next to SPACEBAR on my gamepad) : Map overlay R : Weapon swap T : Hide loot I used to use the left mouse button for a skill as well, but in the end I had to admit it's better just to use it for walking for safety. |

How are you making the /oos macro on a razer naga anyway? It is not allowing me actually type commands, merely just pressing a key...

Use a trackball.
MF/Wander LMB: Move/Barrage RMB: 6L attack Q: Move W: Move E: Curse/Blood Rage R: Arctic Armor T: Auras I don't like builds that require piano playing. MF has the most currently popping Divination Distillates but that's it. Not like fluttering through various elements. † You were a good man in a bad situation, Fairgraves. † See what I am currently after here: 1767138 Thanks Chris! 2797098 Last edited by RaiseTheSteaks#5521 on Aug 15, 2014, 6:16:31 PM

Lmb - usually main skill but walk for my flameblaster
Mmb - Vaal skill, never accidentally activated Rmb - Curse on solo chars, usually a util otherwise like endcry Q- single target/cull skill, or flameblast W- movement skill E- totem or util skill R- occasional use like smoke mine T- auras, something I may need to turn off and on like arctic armor or tempest shield Flasks - only hard rule I follow is the ones over my move skill (2 and 3) are bleed and freeze flasks so when I panic I mash those and my move skill. I have a razer mouse with lots of extra side buttons that have macros for /oos, /remaining, /itemlevel and some silly party messages like "Go Go Go" and "Run you fools!" When I kill a man he stays dead.
