PoE vs Diablo 2 aka Your opinion on PoE

In my opinion, at this stage Diablo 2 still beats PoE in all terms, except graphics/animations. Hope this game will be greatly changed till release, because right now killing mobs(main game aspect) is too boring(or just NOT FUN) and mobs are greatly unbalanced.

What's your opinion on PoE as it is right now?

Care to elaborate?
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.
Mobs arent unbalanced its how the devs made it. I played D2 for 9 years before LOD and
Rune words with that said diablo was fun but got to easy once everyone wore coh enigma
Cta hoto ect but the years up to that diablo now poe

Can't beat Diablo 2 atmosphere I guess, partly because of Matt Uelmen, and I think some areas of PoE are a little too bright.

I also don't like the gem skill system because it is tied to items, but love the passive tree.

Other than that I enjoy PoE very much, and I don't currently know any better ARPG that I would play.
My only concern right now is the lack of content, but it's in open beta so I'm sure they'll expand upon it.
Play hardcore, this game was designed for the hardcore players. I guarantee you the thought of dying once weighing down on you as you try to carefully clear the content will add a whole new feeling of excitement and scared that you never experience. Softcore on ANY game is boring and repetitive.

Secondly the gem system is awesome. It's called complexity. Gives you access to all abilities in the game aowing you to build you very own unique build.

If you want to play a very simple, easy ARPG where there's only 1 clear path pre determined for you before you even start, D3 is ---------> that way. Otherwise don't complain. Game is flawless :)

Game is closer to Titan Quest than Diablo tbh. And TQ remains the best Arpg ever for now.

I do not agree with this, at least not in it's current state.

It doesn't give you access to anything unless you are lucky with RNG. Relying on RNG to be able to build your character the way you like is not the best system.

Again if you want everything handed to you overnight with no effort --------> D3 that way.

This game requires actual effort to get what you want.

Wouldn't be much of a game if devs handed you everything out of gate. If you don't like it plenty of other less difficult games out there to play :)

Pretty much this. It's a completely different game in HC. I'm a very casual player so delving into HC was tough decision, but one I'm glad I made.

As to the overall game itself, I enjoy it much more than D2. From the gem system to the forest we call a tree, the choices are there for us to make. Does it need work. Sure, but it's still beta and the dev's are very passionate about making this the best game they can.

I'm sorry you're not enjoying it, but for a lot of us, this is the pinnacle of Arpg's at the moment (and likely for the next 10 years).
