D2 Scumbags
" Wrong it started working with the Pro RMT changes with OB. That site was a wasteland like HC League during CB. There were some(now successful) scumbags selling betakeys and trying to trade in CB but they got insulted. In fact 1 betakey got sold for more virtual currency than a mirror. I want that time back.:( It's not likely that they are safe. It's more like they don't get punished and go under the radar after a warning. " 297 obvious RMTers when I did script analysis. Several famous players. Bancount : 2 The guy getting banned 8 months late The hated streamer caught using bots All reports I mailed: "Investigation" and suddenly that person RMTs under the radar. " Or Step 1: Give Support currency to RMT Step 2: Report an obvious RMTer and make support trade with him Step 3: Support catches him after trade Step 4: Look if ban or they keep playing I will gladly give support all my invasion / 2 week currency but only if those RMTers get banned! But the only thing happened was a probation for naming and shaming, while those itemshopsupplying RMTers are one reason RMT is popular. |

" nice try | |
" You know hes right. Learn about circumstantial evidence. |
|
" you can imagine yourself employee responsible for anti-rmt and think what would you do to avoid false positives like described above you can also try to sell legacy facebreakers i have on rmt forum and see what happens
" he conveniently skipped interesting part between step 4 and step 5 in Mahesys universe, every email to support results in ban in 5 minutes in real universe, there are players who frequently create threads in rmt forum across several leagues since open beta, who use same PoE account name as their RMT forum account name, and they somehow slipped through all checks, investigations and what not since open beta, yeah P.S.: i also found nickname of that bot writer dude he is "banned" ATM didn't watch credits if he is diamond supporter Last edited by CCR5#7770 on May 21, 2014, 6:31:26 AM

" And so? I don't care if GGG does or doesn not ban RMTers; my post was pointing out how simple is to accuse someone of RMTing using information gathered through RMT sites themselves as proof. Dare to prove me wrong? or do i have to go on ** *** and try selling something as CCR5 and send a mail to support? OP is totally wrong: you can't really find any information or real proof about players who RMT on RMT sites themselves. Last edited by Mahesys#6567 on May 21, 2014, 6:42:45 AM

" that's all outside observer could do sadly but if account on rmt forum was created 3 years earlier than PoE account if items in shop are the same items on XYZ and on rmt forum coincidences happen sure they do since open beta
" Again, i could create an account on an RMT sites claiming i'm the player who owns the shop; and then sending GGG the RMT site post plus the shop on forum. How can this be a solid proof? anyone can accuse anyone, even by crossing poe xyz and RMT site sells Account age doesn't really matter. It's not a valid proof to say this account is 3 years old or 1 day old. Last edited by Mahesys#6567 on May 21, 2014, 6:54:19 AM

" your devil advocate cosplay is nice and everything should be done to not ban player by mistake by there are questions for which there are no adequate answers it is either "thanks for info" or "we can't disclose" did you miss "drop by there and get all of the evidence they need" part? i've just glanced at another rmt forum regular who is SO VERY MUCH afraid of ban that he has PoE account registered almost 2 years later and he is buying and selling currency left and right he is also high on Inv ladder like that <------------------------> high of course it is possible someone is impersonating him just like it is possible to drop 2 ex in one minute P.S.: if you don't care if those players will or will not be banned maybe you should stay the away from this thread?
" Lol, good call! I guess i can call mine preventative as well but i used it extensively for D2. @OP not everyone uses that site to RMT. I certainly never spent a dime there. And since D2 lacked a trade system (similar to POE), that site was very popular as just a way to reliably trade. I thought it provided a good service to the D2 community. |
