What's the easiest soloable 66 map for my build?

Yeah, I'm always happy when I get the double exile roll on maps because exiles are basically running treasure chests. And they drop rare rings quite frequently - which are usually the bottleneck for the chaos recipe.

Also what else would you do? Waste a chaos and re-roll it? Definitely not worth it on a 66 map!
Anything below 70 is basically alch and go (or transmute+alteration until you have two nice mods).

Frankly not risky at all if you know what you're doing. It's not the best rolls, I agree, but not terrible at all.

You can have it (free) if you still play Standard. I'm semi-retired and am not going to use it.

(PS: I wonder why it's not showing as verified...it's still there. Maybe because it's quoted?)

I guess scour it and then probably transmute+alteration. Or sell it.
Or give it away (see above).
So I ran my normal Grotto map and as you would have predicted, it was no problem. I seemed to get lucky with monster types as well (no undying types or chaos flicker strikers, etc...just bears, frost casters, cannibals, gravel eaters...maybe something else I'm forgetting).

Another Grotto dropped so I suppose I can apply some currency and try it again. Or move on to Tropical Island. Or retire as planned now that I got the achievement. My Steam backlog is out of hand. ;-)

Thanks again for your inputs.

Nice. I knew you would make it =)

It would be a shame to retire. You have nice gear on that ranger. Looks like you put in a lot of effort judging by your gems, equipment and passive skills. Looks well planned to me.

Are you retiring from the game or only that specific charachter?

Thanks for the props and encouragement. TBH, the build is a dex monkey variant of Kirielis' Ice Pierce Crit Ranger (http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/445674) with less crit.

According to Steam, I have 281 hours logged into the game with very little idle time-- spanning from v1.0 in October to yesterday...not to mention untold hours on poe.xyz, the wiki, and these forums. Yes, a true tortoise pace: a combination of play-style and available gaming time.

The problem is a large games backlog and limited game time. I've played almost nothing but PoE since October. Further, I've bought 120 games in the past two years and 77 of them I've never played.

Therefore, the thinking was to retire from the game having reached my goal of soloing through the core game (pre-Maps). Although I've saved some twink gear throughout, I don't have much of a desire to start over with a new char. If anything, I'd continue with my Ranger.

I'll probably move move onto another game and see if I have that itch to continue progression through a few more maps. It remains a possibility. ;-)

Well, I don't know if you read before or after my edit, but I didn't have a problem with Dominus until the final Ascendent phase where I got schooled...maybe 5-8 deaths before I got him (and only one from the blood rain).

But I'll still take your post as an encouraging sign...thanks for the reply!

Yeah, I'm sure you'll be fine.
If I had to rank the 66 maps from easiest to hardest, here it goes.

Very easy tier:

- Tropical Island
- Grotto
- Dried Lake
- Crypt

Easy if you know the boss tier:

- Dunes

Problematic for some builds, but easy for ranged anyway tier:

- Dungeon
- Overgrown Ruin
- Orchard

Also Boxsalesman has a video up on youtube for every map boss so you can check out the mechanics beforehand if you're feeling more comfortable that way.

This sums up the 66 maps perfectly. Based on your gear, you should be perfectly fine. You probably will find many of the maps easier than the Sceptre of God, Gardens, and Library.

Good luck with your other games. You may find yourself missing PoE and come on back. You mentioned 200+ hours in the game. It's incredible how rare it is to get that in a game these days.
