What's the easiest soloable 66 map for my build?

crypt desyncs a lot and Bishop' curses can be VERY dangerous coupled with desync.

tbh I very seldom ever experience desync-- maybe because I'm always solo or am lucky. I've read what a huge problem it is for some. I can only think of one desync-death I've ever had...and I was being a little careless anyway.

The exception is charging rhoas...they seem to desync a fair amount lot.

Tropical Island. the only risk there is Frog Leaper. if you spawn them, just re-roll the map. these are annoying and dangerous. why bother.

I'll keep an eye out. Though I think I only have one Tropical Island map in my inventory...maybe I'll just risk it. I guess I've got up to six portals to use up if I die.

btw a very nice gear. not top-end but nice in this good way of 'nice'

Thanks! It's been interesting building/gearing based on just what I've read and trial/error. I think the only thing I found myself was the cold res ring. Until I slightly upgraded the bow and gloves, I'd never spent more than 2c on anything.

do not even look at Dunes and Dungeon

What's wrong with dunes? I consider dunes to be to be the easiest map personally. Wide open spaces with great visibility. Tropical island can be annoying with monkeys running everywhere.

Yoloslamming Blacksmith with his chaos farting friends. Although he is just another pushover after nerfs.

LOL. Yeah my chaos res is only 3% with the above gear, so probably not worth risking it.

@OP
Just run any white map, they're incredibly easy as long as you aren't braindead.

LOL again. I always wonder if these kinds of comments assume l33t gear and/or skills (and I have neither), but I'll take your word for it. ;-)

It's neither the gear nor skills (though they help greatly), it's the fact that you are ranged which is a huge advantage in this game by itself.
I´m running 71 maps atm and still have trouble killing Dominus and my gear is way worse than yours. You Are on standard so just do them and find out which one you like yourself.

If you can solo Merciless Dominus you'll be able to solo any level 66 map easy.

Well, I don't know if you read before or after my edit, but I didn't have a problem with Dominus until the final Ascendent phase where I got schooled...maybe 5-8 deaths before I got him (and only one from the blood rain).

But I'll still take your post as an encouraging sign...thanks for the reply!

Yeah, I'm sure you'll be fine.
If I had to rank the 66 maps from easiest to hardest, here it goes.

Very easy tier:

- Tropical Island
- Grotto
- Dried Lake
- Crypt

Easy if you know the boss tier:

- Dunes

Problematic for some builds, but easy for ranged anyway tier:

- Dungeon
- Overgrown Ruin
- Orchard

Also Boxsalesman has a video up on youtube for every map boss so you can check out the mechanics beforehand if you're feeling more comfortable that way.

To answer your question you should be able to solo any 71 or lower map without any trouble...

I felt the same way the first time I tried maps. It was this new thing - end game stuff - only read about it on forums. Scary!

But I agree, you should be able to do any 6x maps no problems.
Hejren / Triceps / Regnbuen / Sarinti / Striglen / Mareridt / Spoegelset / Doktoren / Dobbelganger / Skjoldtrold / Forkynderen
What could happen? You die and might loose some XP but start running new maps when you have just leveled. Do you want to live forever ;) ?

Up to level 71 there are a few maps as ranged I would watch out for:

- Orchard: The boss (devourer) have a pretty hard hitting fire projectile. It is pretty ease to avoid getting hit if you are mobile. BUT that area also spawns with other creatures so if you get stuck/blocked/frozen etc it is very easy to die.

- Dune: It is pretty easy if you are doing it right. But might get problematic if Blacksmith start doing his leaps and spams zombies which release posion on death. Bets way to handle IMo is to get a spell totem and make sure he is surrounded with your minions. taht will keep him from leaping/spamming zombies.

- Cemetery: Pretty easy but the boss room can get crowded if you have a map with +pack size and you get a bad luck with spawns. I once got the room spawnws with zombies which released poison on death + undying evangelists. That was really bad :).

- Museum. First level is easy. But I had problems with boss room. Only done it twice (trade in my musem maps) and I might had bad luck with sapwns both times. But got to many mobs right at the entrance. last time I got a big pack of the alchemist which throws poison bombs right at the entrance.

- Villa. Boss is based on Caliga. You know the unique in Scepre of God who spams traps.

- Temple: bad-ass version of Piety

That seems to be the consensus.

Yeah I did check out some of those. It seems like a few of the maps/bosses have been tweaked since those videos were made (Tropical Island is now much bigger?), and it appears he must have some awfully nice gear the way he blasts through the bosses in about 10 shots while face-tanking them. But yes, it's good to get a feel for them.

Thanks for the reply!

LOL yes given my experience with Dominus Ascendent, I had some concern that maps would be designed as a big step up (it is the endgame after all). Maybe you're supposed to be able to cruise through all Merciless bosses (and corrupted areas) before starting maps.

Seems that this isn't the case. I guess the only risk now is that I want to keep clearing out maps instead of retiring, which was the plan. ;-)
