1. It's not confirmed... I don't know why you have "confirmed" in the title of this thread. Nothing has been posted by Blizzard in regards to this... so how can it be confirmed?
2. If it was real... who cares? That will get rid of those stupid sites that rip people off and keep on spamming how you can buy this and that on their website. 3. If it was real... who cares? Don't want to spend any real money on items? Don't. Those that want to... they would do it either way. 4. Looks like you can do normal in-game currency transaction on that "screenshot." Oh and... yeah, that "screenshot" looks very "legit." I like how it lists items from D2 item bank... I don't think Blizz is bringing same names back.... Do you believe everything you read off 3rd party websites?

This would be cool, but I'd end up spending a few gs that I need for... rent.

If you buy digital in game items... aren't you EXACTLY the players you HATE? Those **cks that don't work for what they get... the type of people that deserve to be physically harmed for being weak. (This IS just an OPINION, but I would enact it to law if given the chance, why should blizzard get crap for making money off of bullsh!t?)
I love virtual brutality so save it for the Mobs...

This is officially confirmed. Also now it is impossible to hold points for the skill tree. You now don't get given skill points and you will be given a selection of skills to choose to add at certain levels.

Yep... I guess jamesl was right. But as I stated above, who cares, really? I don't think it's a bad move on their part. Players would still attempt to sell items for real money and others would keep on buying them for real money. At least now they can do it in a legit way.
By the way... all the shit they announced... well half of it, is why I'm no longer following Blizzard. By the way... those that think that can quit their day job... just hope your items can sell: " "Life is a tragedy when seen in close-up, but a comedy in long-shot." - Charlie Chaplin Last edited by bkboggy#1545 on Aug 1, 2011, 3:40:52 AM

This is coming from Sixen, the main mod for diablofans.com
"Here comes the bombshell: he also introduced to us the auction house. The real money auction house. Yes, an auction house that you pay/sell items for real cash and vice versa. As soon as this dropped, it was silent, though I couldn't stop myself from spitting out "Bwhat?!" to break the silence permeating throughout the room. He went on to tell us that it would be a regional AH, based completely on money. On the AH, there will also be an autobidding system, with a smart search, and secure item transfers. It seemed to me like he waited a few slides before he actually let us know that there would also be a gold-based auction house, as well as in-game trading... Maybe just to see our reactions or something, but do not fret! You will not be forced to use real money. In addition, we'll be able to pull items from our shared stash to place into the AH. Their reasoning behind doing this is simply because the players want it. If the players didn't want it, they would not have been using shady third party sites, like d2jsp in the D2 era of the series. Essentially, all Blizzard did was make something that was previously unofficial and sketchy, official and supported. Though, I should also mention that they are planning on selling/buying characters at some point in time as well, not at launch. For more information, read the AH overview and FAQ in the sections below. " My only concern is for the PvP aspect, since it will matter most when some fully godly-geared toon will 2 shot your normal *work for your gear* toon. Gay. Edit: Late, I know, apologies. Double Edit: On the bright side, I could always farm loot and quit my day job ;P jk! But my WoW account did sell for $2400, but it took years to build it.
