Only 3? Well, let see what we can come u with. In order of their release:
1. Utopia by Intellivision: This one is going old school, but this is what I consider the first true RTS video game out there. If I had an Intellivision, I would still load this up, bad graphics and all, and play for hours. 2. Quake 1: Team Fortress - Before Valve bought the mod from the guys who developed it, Team Fortress was a Quake mod, and it's the mod that redefined the First-Person shooter. Before that, there was no real concept of team play, and no concept of character classes. It set the standard for just about every other FPS to follow it. 3. Minecraft: There are a few other true sandbox games out there, but most of them are hard to use or requiring actual programming knowledge. Minecraft is the first true sandbox game which is easy to use, and gives you umpteen million ways to play it. |

I had to think really hard on this one. In the end I just counted how many times I finished a game. Since I highly value gameplay, replayability is a good measuring parameter for me personally.
1) Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn (2000 - Black Isle/Bioware) 2) F.E.A.R. (2005 - Monolith) 3) Hard Reset: Extended Edition (2012 - Flying Wild Hog) The first 2 I finished at least a dozen time. The third is going to get to that amount as well. Heart of Purity
