Rogue - started it all
Wasteland - solidified my love of PC RPG's Heroes of Might & Magic 3 / Civ 3 - couldnt decide, but these are the best turn-based strategy games i ever played (dont like RTS so starcraft can suck it). ~SotW HC Guild~

3: Pokemon Gold & Silver
 Red and Blue were good, but G&S perfected the gameplay with the addition of EV training, and type combinations. EV training allows the boosting of stats based on what monsters you fight. A monster with high defense boosts your monsters defense, or high speed to boost speed ect. This eliminated straight grinding: although you would benefit even if you didn't pay attention to it, but being deliberate about it could make a helluva powerful beast. Not to mention, it's so long. No other Pokemon game gives such a large area to explore even if half of it is recycled from Red and Blue (and Green and Yellow). 2: Portal  Who doesn't like Portal? Seriously, who can play Portal and be "Meh?" about it? Errybuddy luffs pudul 1: Metroid Prime  I love this game. I would make love to this game. The scaling, the level design, the environments, the music, the enemy design, the boss fights, the weapons, the visor upgrades, the handling, that recoil when you fire a weapon. Every detail is so precise, and every feature was so unique at the time. If you have a Wii or a Gamecube and down own Metroid Prime, you wasted your money on that Wii or Gamecube. Prime 2 and 3 can suck it. |
