Probably worth mentioning that Qarl did post on Reddit about this. Mentioned that he hopes the snapshotting fix will be in patch 1.2.0. So, yeah, GGG knows about the issue and intends to fix it, they'll just take time as always.

They said awhile ago (back when they changed aura snapshotting the last time) that snapshotting was something they'd like to see fixed entirely (I believe once was quite recently), but it isn't an easy fix.

It certainly doesn't sound as though it's intended, nor does it seem it's something they like or balance around. Simply something they haven't been able to fix yet.

Why that is, neither you nor I can say. Good news if it's something they're hoping to fix after the 4 month leagues are over.

Snapshotting is meh, but not his fault, so i won't blame him for that. Clever use / exploiting of game mechanics i guess. However the fact that he ruined atziri race for everyone by selling kills to people just made him cheap in my eyes.
