I'm very interested in seeing both Diablo 3 and Grim Dawn. It's going to be such an exciting few years for Action RPGs (after such a long wait for everyone).

The wait has been almost unbearable! I'm so happy to see the genre finally getting some attention again.
i hope i am not violating the rules, but for some time i am in closed beta of another hack'n'slash RPG, and even though PoE looks better, that game is also great fun for people like me who loves hack'n'slash RPGs.
Its called Drakensang Online, its browser game like PoE, its also ment to be free to play, but little less then POE.
Some of you may know Drakensang, which was normal game, and it was much more hardcore RPG, but this browser version is different and its hack'n'slash diablo-like game.
I'm not interested in Grim Dawn in the slightest. D3, TL2, and PoE all have my attention.

I wasn't fond of TQ and have yet to see anything new or groundbreaking coming from GD. Unless there's something spectacular I'm missing from GD, then I'm not sold.

I was a huge fan of Titan Quest so Grim Dawn is very much on my watch list, but that game seems to be much farther off than D3 or POE.

Personally, I'm looking forward to POE more than D3 mainly becuase of it's art direction and the team that are working on it.

See the double post DOES EXIST! GD WILL ROCK! I WILL BUY THAT, WHEN IT HITS STORE SHELVES... I DON'T DO DIGITAL COPIES AS IF ANYTHING HAPPENS I COULD LOSE IT! With a physical copy I can return it to a store if it does not work, I may have to have the disk but at least I HAVE SOMETHING!

burn to a DVD ?
save it to external hard drive ?
save it to a thumb drive ?

buying it from the store means the DVD could get scratched and then you're out of luck ; you'll have to buy a new copy

buying it from a download site means you can always download it again for free
you could even download it at work onto an external hard drive and then take it home and install it

Yeah, I'm happy that most of companies went digital. I moved several times in the past few years and in process some things got misplaced. Along them were my Diablo 2 disks and my Platinum NeverWinter Nights disks... luckily I saved my keys on battlenet and on bioware website. So all I had to do was just download clients from them.

Grim Dawn. I'm pleased to have found the place to say thoughts on one of the other widely mentioned topics, that I've seen on the forum. :)
I visited their page, and saw what Crate were showing.

It's no wonder the stream window of their trailer is set to 720p by default. Their environment is very pretty. Although, their hit detection is not appealing. It's like when the armoured man as much as looks in the monster's direction - they explode (the explosion of blood/gibs is very well done).

They've also got a lot of physics in play. While it looks cool as the player breaks in to one of the game's houses and the wood of the door or wall shatters in and splinters apart; nonetheless, I didn't really believe these effects would add much to gameplay - a similar reaction to furniture. I'm unlikely to buy GD, as its combat's off, and the gameplay doesn't strike me as interesting, plus, their world is naturally presented, but also a little flat for my taste. I don't like the lighting scheme that much.
Well, there will be a lot of Action-RPG's in the next time and to be honest, I probably will stick with Torchlight 2 and Path of Exile for that time since Diablo 3 is becoming such a pain in the ass with all those anti-singleplayer measures (rainbow graphics, P2W, no modding).

Grim Dawn on the other hand looks just "meh". I watched some videos of the game and it didn't relly catch me, like PoE did.

Wasn't a big fan of Titan Quest either, so I don't expect much from this game.
My little tribute to Diablo 1 aka why Diablo 3 is the worst part of the series.

I clicked on this thread expecting Torchlight 2, I guess it's only good news that there is another game coming to this genre.

I have never seen a statement so full of fail in my entire life. I played Bigpoint's open beta for the game you talk about and it is the absolute worst ARPG I have ever played in my life. They are like the antithesis of POE and developer morals. While POE sells cosmetic items Bigpoint attempts to sell you every single basic necessity. If you don't pay them money you can't even do things like USE SKILLS, IDENTIFY ITEMS, TOWN PORTAL, etc. That pretty much means that without paying them you are playing a game with less features than Diablo 1. They're restrict and try to sell every single thing for real money currency, it is an absolute offense to the gaming community and pure greed at work. I won't even mention the name of Bigpoint's FTP game because I don't want to give them free advertising for such a terrible experience.
