Not the only upcoming Diablo Clone

GD engine looks 1:1 with Titan Quest, and although I was a huge TQ fan, I don't think a clone of it will do the work in 2012. So PoE and D3 for me only.

I really enjoyed Titan Quest as well. It looks like they have made some engine improvements though, from their pre-Alpha footage, so hopefully the game turns out well! As far as I understand, it's just single player, right? (Or at least, doesn't have a secure online server infrastructure?)

you can't post an image from a pre-alpha game and judge the whole game by it

someone posted on the GD forums that they didn't like the way the belt looked in that picture

here is the response from one of the devs

I agree but fortunately it is just a quickie stand-in bitmap, we don't have finished belt art yet. ;)

they haven't even made belts yet !
and I believe they're still trying to get a font that looks good in game

so that image is not indicative of how the game will finally look

they just release things every now and then to let the forum know how the development process is going

and one thing GD does have going for it is that they're releasing their editors and encouraging modding

POE is doing closed beta in 2-3 weeks;

Just over 1 week away, according to Chris this afternoon.

Yeah, our intention is to start inviting people on August 8, unless something delays it.

I'm very interested in seeing both Diablo 3 and Grim Dawn. It's going to be such an exciting few years for Action RPGs (after such a long wait for everyone).

Indeed, the wait has been horrible

Devs are saying it'll have multiplayer options.

See the double post DOES EXIST! GD WILL ROCK! I WILL BUY THAT, WHEN IT HITS STORE SHELVES... I DON'T DO DIGITAL COPIES AS IF ANYTHING HAPPENS I COULD LOSE IT! With a physical copy I can return it to a store if it does not work, I may have to have the disk but at least I HAVE SOMETHING!
I love virtual brutality so save it for the Mobs...
you can re download digital copys you know.
Cheaper than free... Speedtree
I have had problems with my ISP in the past... Comcast is Comcrap...

Sometimes it is hard to download things... it just won't go through, I can try but anything above a GIG seems damn near impossible to get in under an hour, I hope that path of exile releases it's patches as separate downloads due to some crap ISP's blocking huge files after the 5th day of the month... I am on to them.

burn to a DVD ?
save it to external hard drive ?
save it to a thumb drive ?

buying it from the store means the DVD could get scratched and then you're out of luck ; you'll have to buy a new copy

buying it from a download site means you can always download it again for free
you could even download it at work onto an external hard drive and then take it home and install it
I like having a physical copy, I take care of my stuff so I don't have to worry about that, besides that my nephew has already tripped over my external HD cord...
