Not the only upcoming Diablo Clone

I always wondered, Will this game be better than Grim Dawn? both are diablo clones but Grim Dawn is not free.Judging by gameplay PoE looks much better. what do you guys think?

I wouldn't judge its gameplay just yet since its still in its supposed 'pre-pre-pre-alpha' build, but it looks pretty decent. Nothing wrong with playing both ;)

Though in direct comparison to PoE, it looks like Torchlight vs Diablo 3, PoE being the Diablo 3 in this case. One is the serious game, the other is more of a... filler. Except in this case, PoE is free :D!

GD looks good... but I don't know what it is about POE... Here's my deal.. When I compare GD and POE, I kind of sway towards POE, but I'm not entirely sure on that decision. When I look at D3 and POE, I choose POE. When I look at D3 and GD... I choose D3.... So, subsequently, I can see that POE is my choice.

I'm not paying any attention to Grim Dawn until it's near release. When it comes to that I'll have a look and probably try it oout if I can. Until then it's PoE for me.

All I know is that POE will be a great Diablo like game to fill in the time until the real thing is released!!!! =)

But, I probably will be playing both together. =)

I will buy Grim Dawn when it hits physical shelves... They made Titan Quest (in my opinion the second most innovative ARPG ever invented, the first is Diablo).

what have you seen ? 3 minutes of GrimDawn ?
the thing isn't even in alpha yet

POE is doing closed beta in 2-3 weeks;
it seems D3 may also be doing beta in 2-3 weeks;
we have no idea which will be out first: POE or D3
but it seems pretty likely D3 and POE will be out before TL2
GrimDawn probably won't even be alpha testing this year (I've already paid for GD)
TL2 will probably be out this year, but probably not until October or later;
we also have Skyrim coming out November (and although its not a D clone, its still an RPG and has a huge existing fanbase who would much rather play it than any of the games above)

the best thing POE has going for it is price
the worst is that it is not as well known as any of the above (except maybe GD)

Blizz had a press event on Friday where everyone was allowed to play the beta client

everyone's under NDA till Monday

supposedly MAJOR changes have been made to Diablo 3

Just over 1 week away, according to Chris this afternoon.

GD engine looks 1:1 with Titan Quest, and although I was a huge TQ fan, I don't think a clone of it will do the work in 2012. So PoE and D3 for me only.
