Yeah, pasting works fine, but copying isn't there for me.

ok.. seems that whatever they're doing with the Clipboard isn't working.

I cannot copy/cut into clipboard from the game. Any copy/cut action just puts the clipboard in a strange state (empty it seems, or something that cannot be pasted). If I put something on the clipboard from outside of game, I can paste it in and it works fine. "Cut" just seems to delete the selected text and put the clipboard back in the "empty" state.

I tried first by typing some text, highlighting it, then ctrl+c on it, then ctrl+v it overwrote my highlighted text with nothing. then I typed something else, highlighted it, then ctrl+x. It removed my highlighted text. ctrl+v again pasted nothing.

Then I went to my notepad outside of game, ctrl+c, then went ingame and ctrl+v and it pasted the text from out of game. I highlighted that text, ctrl+c, ctrl+v and there was nothing. I went back to notepad and ctrl+v and it pasted nothing.

When I say it pasted nothing, I mean that it will overwrite whatever is highlighted with nothing. So it's not that there is no action. It is that whatever it is pasting is just deleting the highlighted text without putting anything there.

So if that is your behavior, I can confirm it. But I don't know how long that has been ongoing as I don't do anything with chat. I play solo, and self-found gear. I don't trade or chat or anything ingame.

Edit: Should get someone with a Windows install to see if it works there, or if it's just isolated to Wine.

I have tried installing PoE through PlayOnLinux and I have a problem. I start the game everything is fine and visible but when I actually try to play the game I get this error. Then the game crashes.

Unable to create texture. D3DERR_NOTAVAILABLE Not Available

Any idea how to fix this? Also can one of the mods delete/remove some of my other posts? I got really confused as to where to put this.

Is your video card shader model 3.0 compatible?

If so, do you have all the right drivers installed?

System specs? OS version?

Yeah I'm on it. The D3D not available probably means you are missing the d3dx9_36 dll. Here's an install guide if you are completely lost: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/8980/page/57/#p1394190.

does work for me on Windows 7 x64

I think the feature for copying item info to the forums might have broken it for this platform. Broken before this patch, but referred to here in the current patch notes:
"
The information that is put on the clipboard when you hover over and item and press Ctrl+C now includes socket information and itemlevel.

I can't find the patch where they first introduced it.

Yes confirmed.

Ok, I will go try to install d3dx9_36 then. Also I chose one of the packages provided by PlayOnLinux and the GPU adapter is incorrect. How do I set it for my GPU?
That didn't work at all. I'm going to try reinstalling and follow that walkthrough you provided me.

If it still doesn't work after that, run Path of Exile from PlayOnLinux using the "debug" link to the right on the window. It should open up a Debug log console which should spit out a ton of stuff.. usually toward the top of the most recent execution, there should be some details.

You can separate the executions by looking for the line that starts with a square brace and the time, then the wine command with the path of exile client.exe. From there down will be the details for that run. Paste the top few (10 or so) lines of that into a spoiler tag here and someone can take a look and see if they can see anything that could help diagnose the issue.

Edit: on my system, the new execution lines say [03/13/13 15:44:19] - Running wine-1.5.24 Client.exe -gc 2 followed by the debug lines.
