I'm not saying any is better. They both have their pitfalls, but the fact that in one you're punished more by RNG shitting on you is pretty messed up.

The attempt #1 in PoE is more expensive than attempt #10 in D3.

Which still has nothing to do with a static vs. Exponentially increasing cost.

And to cergic, possible since I wasn't including 2h. But I know you don't have a 1h with 800/800

No. My CURRENT 1-h i'm using is like 700/680. I got a sick offhand from rolling with the blood shards.

I've actually wasted several hundred k gold on crafting forth the items you describe as superior. My legendary non-socket 1-h atm is still better than a weapon that actually had more int,200 less raw dmg BUT an imperial green gem in it to give 130% more critt dmg. Still would've lost 12% dmg from it.

This game blows donkey $$$$.

GGG will never address the games core problems. This is nothing but a string people along, standard free to play game that has become worse tenfold since open beta ended.

Game has potential to be great but the dev's are too hardheaded and allow nostalgia to dictate the direction.

Game has gone backwards.

The crafting in RoS is pretty cool if you ask me. I think they have done a nice job with attributes. You can see in my profile that I've rolled pretty much everything I'm wearing on my Demon Hunter. However I still can't find an amulet to replace my legacy one LOL.

Oh and having 500% or more crit damage at 50% crit is pretty crazy. My dual 2400+ DPS 600 Dex 7%dmg crossbows own. It's still pretty OP, I can't see trading Crit/Crit Dmg for baseline damage or life on hit at this point.

** Also don't miss that fact that armor is pretty overlooked and can make a HUGE difference. In some cases much better than all resists. Quite frankly there are many useful attributes and makes decisions worthwhile and it has increased diversity. (Life on hit, Life Regen, All Res, Attack speed, Crit & Dmg, Vit, Primary stat, Skill dmg Modifiers ect.) **

I very much agree, and i understand that flat damage trade for critt damage isn't cool for you.

BUT!

My one and only point p much was that Critt on weapons is far from mandatory, depending on build.

Nice gear btw

I agree with him. D3 story is awkward at best and cringe-worthy at worst :D
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

U gotta be kidding me.. U are exiled on an island by a bad guy and u go and kill him in the end. Wow! amazing story.. *sarcasm*

D3 story is nothing that good but at least the fmv sequences are gorgeously done and the pen and ink style cutscenes are really beautiful.

EXILES EVERYWHERE, PLEASE?!?!?!
I play Diablo 3 over Path of Exile because I absolutely despise the end game in Path of Exile. I consider PoE the better game in most ways but because I don't trade much (I simply think it's boring to sift through all the trading) and rather just fight to get stuff I am forced to play Diablo 3 instead (and Torchlight 2 sometimes). I understand perfectly well why the map system is in place and why it can't be completely changed, there's an economy in place that's delicately balanced around it all with grouping up being the focus.

So I am well aware of why people defend the map system. But as someone who plays either solo or only with one other friend (the only time I don't prefer solo is when I play with that friend), this game is just not fun for me at end game. I don't want to have to spend a lot of time crafting to get maps worth my time so that I can find more maps to craft. Also, both me and my friend have spent real life money in their shop, stash tab upgrades and cosmetic stuff... The notion that solo players don't spend money because they don't "show off" is silly to say the least. I buy cosmetic stuff cause I care about how my character looks, for my own satisfaction! When I log on Diablo 3, I choose the difficulty I want to play at and I instantly get grouped up with people (or I play solo if I so choose) and can just fight mobs and open up rifts (comparable to opening up a map in PoE but a MUCH MUCH easier process only requiring 5 of one type of item that is extremely easy to find more of). Me and my friend always talk about this on Skype while we're playing... How we'd prefer to play PoE if it only weren't for the map system.

So what would my solution be? I feel it's pretty obvious... Create a league where at end game you either have VERY simple ways to attain maps of any level or simply give us a way to have endless dungeons of some description. But alright, now you tell me "that will ruin the economy of the league", to which I say "I don't care, I don't trade so the economy is a meaningless word to me". Why would it be so horrible to have a league where the economy doesn't have to be balanced? Where people can just log in and play (rather than trade and craft over and over again)? I don't understand the problem here. I've brought up this topic in the general chat in Diablo 3 and I've mostly received supportive responses to my opinion regarding this whole thing. Most of the people I've spoken to would rather play PoE as well if it weren't for this whole thing.

I know this will probably be seen as some kind of "QQ" but honestly, I think this game is really great and I just feel really sad that just one aspect of it prevents me from enjoying it. :( Sure I might come back to PoE some time but as long as the end game is the way it is, I won't stay for long... Unfortunately.

All i see here is a lot of people defending crafting in POE, which tells me they never tried to craft anything.
I didnt buy ROS cause of my principles and promise that i will never give anything to blizz ever again, so i dont know how crafting works in ROS now.

What i do know that if you are playing the game 10 hours a day, POE i mean, you cant craft if you want to play endgame aka maps lvl 75+.
This goes for 4 month leagues.
Any experienced player will never craft in POE.
Only people that can craft in POE 4 month leagues are people that trade 24/7, use their credit card, or are not interested in end game.
